  1. QUOTE(SoxAce @ Jun 28, 2006 -> 12:21 AM) That's why I said he wouldn't be the player that would fit the bulls need NOW because of this. He will be a stud though. Bank that. Must I pull a Mr. Oizo on your ass?! Well touche.
  2. QUOTE(SoxAce @ Jun 28, 2006 -> 12:12 AM) I'll say it like this. He is 6'8 only 19 years old. Luol Deng when he was drafted was 6'7. Deng grew 2 inches over last summer to get to 6'9 (alot of people forget about that) As a teenager yourself, do you honestly feel that he can't grow another inch or two and put on weight? (I don't know his desire though so I can be wrong about him mentally) When I played baseball my senior year, I weighed 120 pounds and grew 3 inches. I now weigh 155 but have only grown an inch. I'm not saying Tyrus will be able to do it and I'm not defending him at all cause I don't feel he is the best player for this team since we are in a win now type stage and aren't waiting two-four years till he finally is a beast. I'm just saying don't start a riot if he picks Thomas cause for all we know he could trade him, or for all you know we could trade Chandler who I still feel after 5 years and no college experience still can't sniff a jumper and Tyrus has 1 year and can hit a 15-18 footer regularly. We don't have the time to wait on Thomas like a team lile Portland can. We need someone to step in and contribute now, not in 3 years. We are a contender looking to add pieces to the puzzle, not a garbage team look to build around someone who could be good in 3 years. You're right about the growth part. Hopefully, I'll be 6'5 myself by the end of 2006. : fingers crossed :
  3. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 28, 2006 -> 12:06 AM) Why again do we want another small forward when the Bulls already have Deng and Nocioni? There's nothing right now that points to him being a 4 in the NBA so why not just take Gay with the 2nd pick seeing how he'll probably be the best player to come out of this draft? Oh where, oh where do you come up with these awesome lines? I was going to quote you but knowing he doesnt read TalkBulls, I left it out.
  4. QUOTE(SoxAce @ Jun 28, 2006 -> 12:01 AM) Oh yea. Several reasons but I won't get into it. I just laugh everytime you say he has no offensive game whatsoever and he can hit 15-18 foot jumper regularly where Chandler couldn't even sniff a jumper at all. He is what you call "raw" Chandler is "extremely raw" like of like Sene. I honeslty feel Pax will do whatever is best for the team if it's drafting Thomas, someone else, (I personally like Roy, Aldridge even though Rudy Gay will be the best player in this draft when it's all said and done) or trade (I still feel personally we will make a trade with someone) I will be at work unfortunitally so I won't see the draft so hopefully I'll come home tomorrow hearing that we got Garnett.. I agree on the Garnett part but I just hate Thomas. He is smaller than Rudy Gay. Come on. You have allowed ESPN to brainwash you.
  5. QUOTE(SoxAce @ Jun 27, 2006 -> 11:51 PM) The Clock Countdown to Tyrus Thomas being a Chicago Bull. You're happy about that?
  6. Just saw this on ESPN, the Sox are up for "Best Team" in the ESPY's. Vote for them over the Steelers, Heat, and UTexas Longhorns football. http://espn.go.com/espy2006/ Ozzie Guillen also up for Best Coach.
  7. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 27, 2006 -> 04:57 PM) Keller was never any good. Howard and Macrus have so much more talent, however our coach who loves his vets decided to go with experience instead of his best player. Hence why the Eddie Popes, and the rest of his DC United boys were on the team. I totally agree with you about Keller. I don't know how anyone can call him a world class keeper when he's not even the best from his country. Gigi Buffon, Dida, Iker Casillas, Oliver Kahn, Petr Cech, and Edwin van der Sar...those are world class goalies. Tim Howard is so much better than Keller but he gets overlooked because he doesn't start at Man United and will probably be the best keeper ever to come out of the US.
  8. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Jun 27, 2006 -> 03:44 PM) I don't really like either of them, but I will say that I recall wynalda ripping the team, and especially arena, A LOT. He expressed being ashamed at the effort, and I believe it was on Sportscenter that he ripped arena completely for being completely classless when he was pouting and making hand gestures towards the refs after the ghana match instead of congratulating the opposing coach. He said he was embaressed because of the disrespect and complete lack of sportsmanship that arena showed, calling him a "fat coach" who looked ridiculous pouting, and he could not wait 'til a a new coach was brought in. I didn't see the Ghana/US post-game so I don't know about that but after the Czech/US he was making an uber amount of excuses and after the Italian game, he was gushing over how much they improved and how they will surely beat Ghana. Whataver, I hate Wynalda.
  9. QUOTE(danman31 @ Jun 27, 2006 -> 03:20 PM) I still say it's a penalty. You slide in the box and don't get the ball, you're usually screwed. Maybe Grosso accentuated the dive, but as I said before Neill dove in the box, missed the ball, and got the man. Then we'll have to agree to disagree. Grosso jumped with his fornt leg and clearly landed on Niell's arm and dragged his back leg on purpose. But it doesn't really matter because it was called a penalty anyway and Italy won.
  10. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jun 27, 2006 -> 03:15 PM) I love Wynalda. He called up Arena's and Donovan and anyone else that sucked for the US. I also loved him and Lalas arguing from time to time (Lalas is the man too). Lalas at least tell the truth. After the US games, Wynalda was just making excuses, and Lalas called his ass out all the time, and it was great.
  11. QUOTE(danman31 @ Jun 27, 2006 -> 03:10 PM) Right and you're more qualified. No, I'm not, but for a soccer "legend" in the US, he sure as heck complains a lot and makes a lot of biased/incorrest/opinionated comments. Penalty?
  12. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Jun 27, 2006 -> 02:42 PM) If anyone is still making free sigs, I desperately want/need one. I would be so happy. Let me know what you'd like and I'll see what I can do.
  13. QUOTE(danman31 @ Jun 27, 2006 -> 03:00 PM) Like I said, none of the analysts have complained about the call. Wynalda said it was a clear penalty in the post game. I don't need to take blinders off to state facts. Yeah, and Eric Wynalda has been dead on with everything he's said this World Cup. The guy has no business anayzing anything.
  14. QUOTE(danman31 @ Jun 27, 2006 -> 02:45 PM) I'm sorry I forgot you were the all knowing one when it comes to soccer. The fact is none of the analysts I've heard have complained about the call. You don't have to be a soccer know it all to see that it wasn't a penalty kick. Obviously, you have the Italian blinders on just like DBAH0 had the Aussie blinders on. He tripped himself, watch the play again.
  15. QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Jun 26, 2006 -> 08:13 PM) Well, Gload is faster. Have you seen Dye play RF this year? The question is, have YOU seen Dye play RF this year?
  16. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jun 27, 2006 -> 12:05 PM) what is that new Nikesoccer ad about? The Rrrrrrooooooooonaaaaaaaaaldoooooooooooo one?
  17. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jun 27, 2006 -> 11:31 AM) Ghana has copmletely outplayed Brazil for 72 minutes but Brazil has gotten 2 goals (1 was a bulls*** goal where the player was offsides) and Ghana blew an easy goal. Brazil's experiene and a little luck is the only reason they are gonna get past a Ghana team that played fantastic. Adriano's offside no-call is questionable. You can't really tell from any angle if he was offsides or not but when he received the ball, he was even with the defender, but I do belive he was about 1/4 of a step ahead of him when the ball was passed. Oh well. 2-0.
  18. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 27, 2006 -> 10:58 AM) Kotex boy's Daddy thinks he is treated unfairly by the fans and media. Your son can eat s*** Papa Kotex. Wow, he got his daddy to defend him. He told on Ozzie!
  19. You have [./quote] in all of them. Remove the period.
  20. QUOTE(danman31 @ Jun 27, 2006 -> 02:20 AM) Funny how blatantly different the different sides see it. I don't see how you can b**** about the penalty that much. The defender dove, missed the ball, and got the man in the box. That equals a penalty and if you didn't have your Aussie bias blinders on you would see that. No one has argued with the call. Actually, it was not a penalty kick. The Aussie defender fell and was laying almost completely on the ground and then the Italian forward dragged his feet and purposely tripped himself over the defender. If anything, it was a dive and not a PK. And this is from a neutral perspective.
  21. Boz, you southern fried motherf***er. BTW, whoever was breathing in the mic...unnecessary. Heads said ass!
