  1. I like the swinging away there because it worked, but also because there's no way Santana wants to fall behind another hitter.
  2. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 09:18 PM) With AJP on 2nd base, it would have to be a perfect bunt to be successful. Also, our guys seems to have a lot of success lately when they don't get the bunt down fair. twice in this inning already.
  3. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 09:16 PM) Don't bunt here.
  4. QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 08:58 PM) If you don't get it then why should people bother trying to explain it? is that supposed to make a lick of sense?
  5. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 08:56 PM) One is a rookie showing signs of improving at the plate, the other is a vet who keeps getting heavier and who has a swing and a BA getting worse. All of which becomes moot in a playoff race. Why don't we start Haegar over Buehrle from now on then? I mean, he's showing signs of improvement and Mark is just a pitcher whose velocity and control has gone down.
  6. QUOTE(DABearSoX @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 08:54 PM) His D has been lackluster this year Lackluster in comparison to last year when he was bar-none the best SS in the AL defensively? So he's only top 5 defensively now? Sure the gap between Mack and Anderson defensively is much wider... so is the gap in hitting with those two. Cintron is an arguably better hitter(as in not a better hitter) and much worse defender. Yet, I see people b****ing when we play the matchup and it involves Mackowiak in center, then b****ing when we don't play the matchup and it involves Uribe playing over Cintron. I just don't get it.
  7. QUOTE(My Dixie Normus @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 08:51 PM) If Juan plays for his D (like that), why doesn't Anderson? If everyone wants Anderson in for his D, why doesn't everyone want Uribe in?
  8. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Sep 11, 2006 -> 10:22 PM) ????JEnks? are you f***in kidding??? are you?
  9. 37 user(s) are reading this topic 37 collective "f***"s were just said outloud.
  10. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 12:23 PM) Thanks the baseball gods these guys continue to not get the bunt down. HAHA. yep
  11. Pods losing a flyball in the sun and Aaron Rowand running over and still making the catch was one of the top defining plays of the 2005 regular season for me.
  12. I'm just utterly confused about this team to the point where I can't make a point via a simple poll (which I still voted on).
