  1. have you seen it? Ed Koch, Ron Silver, Dick Morris, Zell Miller? Right wingers? hardly
  2. Well, you know, I don't know Laura Bush. But she seems to be calm, and she has a sparkle in her eye, which is good," Heinz Kerry said. "But I don't know that she's ever had a real job - I mean, since she's been grown up. So her experience and her validation comes from important things, but different things." "I'm older, and my validation of what I do is a little bit bigger - because I'm older, and I've had different experiences. And it's not a criticism of her. It's just, you know, what life is about," There ya go...
  3. crazy s*** like that happens....my accident this summer sounds just like this one. no real response...I just think it's crazy and heartbreaking for everyone.
  4. in all honesty, you and I don't know this answer, but I could guess. Politically it didn't make sense for GWB to go into Iraq. He could have simply focused on Afghanistan and made himself look heroic and found reelection a joke. So to me there are two options, he did it out of complete conviction and because he thought it was the right thing to do. OR, he did it for financial gain and we'll find out one day that the blood of innocent people is on his hand. to me, I just don't buy the second one. Too many people in Republican power wouldn't go along with this...let alone the 10s of Democrats that gave their support. I just don't see how something like this would be done for financial gain. Especially in the light of the bribes going on with Saddam and the security council. all IMHO, I guess
  5. um, yes... he married a teacher, librarian, and well...made her a mommy to be honest, I really don't know how much money the Bush's have. I live in the garage apartment of a millionaire family right now and they relate with me pretty dang well. I've seen biographies on GWB and I've cringed at how goofy he was growing up. He's a regular guy who seemed to learn a lot of life lessons along the way. You're right, I don't think he's perfect, but he's a HELL of alot better than John Kerry. Laura Bush is a great lady and Theresa Heinz-kerry showed her true colors in that interview. She thinks she deserves the world and everyone else is just SOL. It's THAT obvious. and please, show me the info on the manslaugter charges, it's the first I've heard of it. (by the way, mistakes in the past, such as DUIs or cheating your way into 3 purple hearts, or having your daddy get you a photographers position in Vietnam are in the past....what is said in the here and now by should outweigh anything else)
  6. by the way, for those who don't use IE.... I fixed my signature. since when did soxtalk become so politically correct? everyone hating on the whites.... you sounded like sissies in this thread....good lord... :headshake
  7. yeah, i heard the sound clip today and I just shook my head in shame. "I'm older and she's never had a real job that I know of" how do you defend that? You can't. People talk about "bushisms" just think about the "heinz-kerryisms" Do people acutally think that this woman of unimaginiable wealth can actual relate to normal people like us here at soxtalk....(ok, bad example....) normal americans? She's an elitists of unheard of heights, and why would she care or even think about people who can't afford health care? or people who work in factories? or school teachers? or MOMS? unbelievable.
  8. Apperantly marrying a billionaire and giving away his money to left wing special interest groups is the only "Real Job" in america. :fyou to anyone who thinks stay at home moms aren't real heros and workers in America. :fyou N.O.W. A vote for Kerry is a vote for that dried out whore monger. Vote for Kerry if you really have no soul. to Laura Bush for being herself and being a mom, school teacher, librarian, and #1 First lady!
  9. Have you even seen this film? It basically says Michael Moore lied and millions of people are listening to him. He took 3 individuals (all voting for Bush) and exploited their story for Fatso's personal gain. Who's the one with the money grubing issue? Because the way I see it, the war in iraq has profited Michael far "moore" than George Bush. And "the questions" in his movie were contrived anyway, George Souros has more to do with the Saudis than GWB. That "film" was riddled with falsities and lies...that's why they made a movie to rebut his propaganda.
  10. yeah, the local blockbuster had it in stock and I watched it. The fact that there are an equal amount of partisans all coming together and saying that michael moore is an idiot and fabricated a lot of what was in fahrenheit, tells me alot. Ron Silver is my hero
  11. our sigs are almost the same size. If you're suffering that horribly from sig-envy, I'll show you how to adjust the html. I doesn't cause a problem on any computer I've ever been on.
  12. which part?
  13. it's a documentary on michael moore's documentary. the goods
  14. sox4lifeinPA posted a topic in SLaM
not sure if there was a thread about this already, but I watched it last night and I have to say, I love Dick Morris and Ron Silver. They have nothing to gain by saying what they have to say, however, Mr 100 million dollar box office Michael "I ate my weight in donuts just this morning" Moore seems to be doing pretty well off.
  15. jealousy abounds from the boy who wished he could move to texas
  16. well, my reality is this... If Kerry wins, I move back to Texas where I'll be safe. If Bush wins, I stay in PA. you decide, America!
  17. you might be right, however, on the second part of that. PA's a tough state. It'll probably go for kerry, but I'll be at the polls holding my Charlie Dent/Adam Marles/Bush-Cheney signs. go us!
  18. are you like related to John Kerry? because you're changing the rotation of the earth with the amount of spin in your posts. here are just a few stops by the Bush camp in PA. State College, Pennsylvania Event: Senator Rick Santorum to Speak at Centre County BC '04 Rally Day: Tuesday, October 19, 2004 Time: 9:30 am Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Event: Mrs. Bush Delivers Remarks at Victory '04 Rally Day: Tuesday, October 19, 2004 Time: 2:45 pm EDT Melrose Park, Pennsylvania Event: BC '04 Jewish Coalition Rally with Former NYC Democrat Mayor Ed Koch Day: Wednesday, October 20, 2004 Time: 11:00 am Downingtown, Pennsylvania Event: President Bush Delivers Remarks Day: Thursday, October 21, 2004 Time: 1:45 pm EDT Hershey, Pennsylvania Event: Victory '04 Rally with President Bush Day: Thursday, October 21, 2004 Time: 4:15 pm EDT Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania Event: Victory '04 Rally with President Bush Day: Friday, October 22, 2004 Time: 10:25 pm EDT and that's just this week.... Pennsylvania is winable, and Bush has a solid electoral college advantage.
  19. "baby, you don't understand.... I slept with that nurse, prostitute, gym teacher, dental assistant, grocery bagger, janitor, and male model because of my sex-sleeping disorder." 150 million men have now just praised a higher being for this report.
  20. as I posted my thoughts, I forgot about you kap. Good peoples all around. I don't think it's humourous to make light of anyone's sexual experiences, and hopefully stef gets that. I'm all about the green sarcasm, just ask southsider, texsox, etc, but some people use it as a front for their true feelings. I don't appreciate anyone making light of my choices for sexual purity, or whatever. my remarks about not making jokes about "debbie does...stef does..." was to show that yeah, I could come up with some, I wasn't trying to pursue that route. I don't think I my initial post was unfair at all, but whatever...this isn't a trial. The truth of the matter is that none of us are above the next poster, but it's certainly practiced that way, and I'll admit that I fall into that mindset. as for moderators and admins being above all this stuff, I totally agree and that's why I quit. I'm going to get pissed and I'm going to express my opinion. Some people love me, most people hate me I'll try to be funnier next time around, for everyone's sake.
  21. it's the condescention towards anyone and everyone that makes me write posts like I do. Stef, please carry through with the fat jokes, lol. Only one person on this website has every met me, so you have no idea what I look like. (besides one photo) I am comfortable in my skin and by no means am I obese, so I'm happy. my response to you was defending my virginity. It's j-holes like you that take away from the joy and gift that it'll be to share that with one person and on my wedding night. I have every right to say what I want to say, and it's clear that you're here to medicate for some clear lack of self-satisfaction and picking on people like da_bears is pathetic. You boss everyone around and dismiss anyone that you deem not on your level. favoristism isn't necessarily the word that some people are feeling, it's elitism. screw you and the likes. da_bears, I don't praise you for defending me or whatever, that's not the point, but I appreciate you calling stef out like you did. rock on. pa
  22. if you listen to the radio to get music... you can thank these j-holes for your musical tastes douche bags
  23. there are so many levels of comebacks that I'm not going to even bother.... i.e. debbie does dallas, stef does chicago.... what's the marriage count at right now, stef? I don't need to experience sex to examine the effects when misused... or should I go out and become an alcoholic because I don't know much about mass consumption of beer? Miss doable stef, all s***e and no substance... bye
  24. 1) I'm happy for you. I too think it's a shame when we are forced to label people and agendas. I wouldn't say I'm evangelical christian nor right wing republican, though I might be labeled as such at times. 2)Actually you used quotations, but that's not the part that I'll argue. The reality of my faith and beliefs is that they're going to piss people off. Jesus wasn't brutally killed because he said happy, flowery things that made everyone happy. However, I agree with you in a sense, because my faith doesn't tell me to cram my beliefs down your throat, just that I should stand by them, no matter what the popular culture says or how it tries to manipulate my faith.... *cough* cwsox *cough* 3) Marriage is not a right, therefore, any civil liberties talk is crap. Marriage is a religious institution and while I totally agree with the "we're not doing such a great job ourselves" arguement, that's an indictment on the church and our need to fix a huge problem and NOT an arguement for "well let's just anyone try it then." Why can't a brother and a sister get married then? or a mom and her son? or a father and son? We could play "let's pretend" and imagine a world where the government would say, have a surgery that will eliminate chances of pregnancy and we could all just have sex 100% of the time. soxtalk's precious beatles can answer that.... "Love is all you need" ...not sex. Sex is one of many vehicles of love, and until our culture figures that out, we're doomed to have f-ed up relationships and destructive marriages and homes.
