QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jun 26, 2006 -> 12:01 AM) Who was supposed to hit for him? And perhaps you haven't noticed he's been pretty clutch in late innings. Ahh i just looked at the stat sheet, I didn't know Ozzie had replaced him for Crede in the 8th. I thought Ozzie was PH Ozuna for Crede, surely you agree that would not make much sense.

Why was Ozuna even at bat there?

Sox have been making good contact though, Konerko and Crede seem pretty comfortable against him

I was a bit concerned when he slid too, he could have landed himself on the DL

I shudder to think what a team in the AL would be doing to Vasquez right now. When a team like the Astros (ranks 20/30 in MLB in runs scored) is smacking you around the field, you know your stuff is ineffective.

Vasquez had better recognize pretty damn quick that Oswalt has his stuff tonight, runs are going to be at a premium.

Hate to say it but those runs were completely on Vasquez- Vasquez is hanging beach balls out there. That ball that went to Pods was a tough play - the best he could have done was play back and get it on a hop

QUOTE(GASHWOUND @ Jun 25, 2006 -> 08:31 PM) Anyone know what the count is now with in regards to AL VS NL. The NL and especially the NL Central is just a laughing stock of crap. Even the Royals looked like world beaters against the Brewers today. Hmm good question, I can tell you this though, the teams that are best in interleague play since 2005are AL teams: PCT W-L Team .737 19-7 Boston .720 18-7 Chicago (AL) .692 18-8 Cleveland .684 13-6 St. Louis .680 17-8 Seattle .636 14-8 Florida Here are the full records by year also (per mlb.com): YEAR AL NL 1997 97 117 1998 114 110 1999 116 135 2000 136 115 2001 132 120 2002 123 129 2003 115 137 2004 126 125 2005 136 116 Totals 1,096 1,104

My bad, heads beat me to it I am going to be so bold to suggest that Oswalt gets a no decision tonight and the White Sox go on to dominate another NL team

Ozuna should have at least tried to go there, a complete waste of a good hitter

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 24, 2006 -> 04:34 PM) There is a difference with all of our pitcher when AJ starts behind the plate, or when widger does. There is a huge difference in the pitch calling. Our pitchers nibble like hamsters when Widger is behind the dish. I'm not a Widge fan at all, AJ has to be one of the most underrated catchers in the AL at the very least

QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jun 24, 2006 -> 04:28 PM) Bottom Line: Good Major League Pitchers know how to pitch around mistakes. I agree, but how many should you have to pitch around?

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Jun 24, 2006 -> 04:22 PM) Yes, I do. Which even makes it more frustrating. I was just pointing out that a lot of the balls they hit were fairly weak. That still doesn't excuse Jon's lack of command/control. Jon didn't get much help from the guys behind him, if those plays would have been made, there is a chance his command would have been a bit better. Then add on to the fact that the Sox offense is lethargic - this pitcher can be hit for goodness sake! He has been awful on the road this season. And all the Sox's hitters have is 2 hits? Rough outing for the Sox on all facets
