  1. Geeze...now we have Uribe up with a major rally here.
  2. COME ON DAMNIT....3.5 games out is 5 runs away....+ 2 innings in NY
  3. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 30, 2006 -> 09:04 PM) It's funny that Boof Bonser's ERA is now easily better than that of Garcia and Vazquez. he is a better pitcher and I deal either one of them for him straight up.
  4. Pods needed to at least get BA over to third...That is just pathetic leadoff baseball.
  5. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 30, 2006 -> 08:50 PM) At least Brian is showing improvement at the plate from his start this year, I cant say the same for our current SS. Brian may end the season in the mid to high .240s...and considering where he was that is AMAZING.
  6. Brian gets us off started...Good piece of hitting laying off the crap. THANK YOU OZZIE for playing the kid.
  7. Geeze...A-RodDOG hits it so weak the Yankees get the lead...Ill take it. Lets go BRIAN
  8. OK...Garland is settling down...Need our O to get a grip.
  9. QUOTE(Allsox @ Aug 30, 2006 -> 08:43 PM) Jeter just tied up the game so some good news there. And then he steals 3rd base with less than 2 outs....That guy is the MVP by far.
  10. Derek Jeter is bad ass...he has tied the game up over there....
  11. Nice job by the O...so we're facing Nolan Ryan tonight?
  12. Come on good vibes...Yankees have something brewing in the bottom 6th over there...we get a DP...now lets go.
  13. I think we'll get 4, but can we hold them the rest of the way?
  14. The Tigers have pulled a guy out of their pen who is dealing a gem in Yankee stadium and our "ace" can't get through 1 inning without getting shelled. It seems we can't get any kind of good pitching run going...Garland is the one guy I trust the most and Buehrle is coming on a bit...the other 3 have just been terrible lately...
  15. Great game today...Was out of town last night for a fantasy football draft and went to shoot pool last night. They had the game on and I watched the Sox implode last night (a night only made tolerable due to the presence of a bikini contest)...So it is a GREAT thing to see Mark and the team rebound today. Still 5.5 out of first and .5 behind the Twinkies if we hold the lead.
  16. It does appear to me Freddy has a better fastball tonight.
  17. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Aug 23, 2006 -> 09:02 PM) You guys want to get a room?
  18. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 23, 2006 -> 08:57 PM) Even though I disagree with you, I like your style in this post. We need more people on this site who can put together an argument like this. ... I wasn't here when the trade deadline stuff was going on, but I was totally against the trade, at least in the incarnation that Washington wanted it. Baseball is my love and I'll argue it, but my opinion isn't necessarily right....just opinion. It's fun. There is no harm in our discussions as we are all on the same team here. BTW-I think you made the comment about Leyland not yanking Kenny Rogers...that was a great point, kudos to you.
  19. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 23, 2006 -> 08:52 PM) Soriano would have definitely added a few wins to this team's record since the deadline. Conjecture. He isn't facing Santana and Verlander over in the NL and it would have cost us major prospects and we'd have probably lost him at the end of the season anyhow. All that and there is NO WAY you can gurantee anything because our pitching stinks. I didn't want a friggin left fielder when our Starting pitching staff all have eras over 4 or 5. If we had great pitching, but just needed some more punch then sure...go for the guy, but he would have done nothing but deplete resources and instead of losing 7-4, we'd just lose 7-6. It would have been a totally assinine trade and IM glad Kenny didnt make it (McCarthy and Fields/Sweeney + ANOTHER prospect?....yea give me some of that whacky weed).
  20. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Aug 23, 2006 -> 08:50 PM) I'm still wondering why people didn't want to see Soriano in LF. Because he can't pitch. They just said it...Detroit has a mediocre scoring offense, but have by far the best record in baseball because of their pitching. Its all about pitching.
