  1. I can't speak for you personally (as I don't analyze every post on this board) but I've seen an incredible amount of negativity on this site all season long (although its peaked recently). I really think this team has the talent to dominate baseball.....but the negativity of this fan base has destroyed the attitude of the team. This team (and almost every team in all sports) needs positive energy to reach its potential and Sox fans as a whole have provided very little of it this season.

Yeah, because the Sox players go in the clubhouse between innings to read posts on our game threads.

f*** that s***, it's not the fans fault, its the PLAYERS. They have no balls, no confidence, and no spirit. None of that is the fault of the fans. We've been watching this same s*** go on all season long, we have a right to be pissed off, unhappy, b****y, upset and we have the right to call our team a bunch of f***ing pussies, because that's how they're playing. This team reminds me of a ladies softball team. They need to grow some f***ing balls and just go play hard-nosed baseball, but instead they have their dicks tucked in between their legs playing like a bunch of pansies.

  2. KW has SERIOUS bullpen work to do this offseason. Linedonk just cannot get the job done anymore. I hope he's not relying on Pena to take Dotel's spot. Thornton and Jenks can't do the whole damned thing alone.

We also need a 5th starter.

And we also need to acquire some f***ing balls. Because we have none at all.

  3. I love how f***ed up this team is.

One day we have our offense, but we have no pitching.

One day we have our pitching, we have no offense.

Today we have our starting pitching, but have no offense and no bullpen.

Tomorrow we will have our offense and our starting pitching, but no bullpen.

The next day we will have no offense, but we will have our starting pitching and our bullpen.

After that, we will have our offense, but no starting pitching or bullpen.

  4. Even in Toronto, he wasn't anywhere near his contract. I'm not only comparing his time with the Sox. I'm also going based on his trends since his all-star year.

Contract or not, Rios is going to be ten times the player for us that Brian Anderson was.

  5. I said in terms of overall production. I'm sure in the span of 5 months, BA could give you great defense with 15 HR's and a piss poor average if he started everyday, and it would probably cost a ton less. Alex plays great defense, but it doesn't change the fact that he's as easy of an out that BA is.

You're comparing a career .280ish hitter to a career .220ish hitter. That is INSANE.

What a small sample size to crucify someone on.

  6. yep Rios has smacked the hell out of the ball. the results will start coming soon enough. oh and he could play a hell of a CF.

And if hitting the ball hard and getting unlucky is a crime, then I guess every player in the Majors should be hitting .500 and those who aren't should just quit.

  7. <<Fails to see difference between Rios and Brian Anderson still in terms of actual production.

I guess you missed the line shot to right field that BA never hits. Sorry your chastising him for an out, but Rios smoked that ball to JD Drew.

  8. So far so good, Garcia only gave up one run and is already doing better than Contreras did yesterday. I'm starting to build a little faith in the Sox for this game, I hope they don't disappoint me.

I think the Sox batters need to work the count against Lester so Boston would be forced to go to the pen sooner.

Sorry to hear that. Boston is going to waste us. We gave them all the momentum by giving them a free win yesterday.

  9. I also agree with you Sonix, there is just no way I can ever root against a Sox team or anything like that. I will say this team is about as frustrating as the 03/04 Sox teams that would route people one day only to get there asses kicked another day.

Good analysis. This team drives me as crazy as those teams did. Therefore, my emotional stock in this team has dropped to a new low this season. I want to watch Gordon grow, but no one is helping him at all, so I'll probably miss a lot of these final games unless I notice we're tied up with Detroit in the standings.
