  1. week-by-week, every episode just seems to get funnier and funnier, show has been great

funniest line of the season is still:

"dude, they cut his body off, they grabbed his d**k and sliced his whole body off"

"don't you mean the cut his d**k off?"

"no, man, they just cut his whole body off"

  2. i just cant stand all their damn "convenience" & facility" charges..

bought flight of the conchords tix last week, price listed was $38.50, but with all the fees and what not came out to 52.50 each. Thats over 36% mark-up from fees!! The worst thing is that ticketmaster is the only option if you want to buy those tix...

Oh really? Then what do the initials PIT stand for? Cuz we played that crazy PIT team last June 17-19, and this May 22-24.

Last June was at the Cell, as is this May, he was talking about playing on the road in Pittsburgh, which we did in 07, havent since then.

  4. Owning a house is definitely nice come tax season (i guess, having a mortgage is what helps the most)

especially nice to receive a huge refund check at the same time that 1st installment property taxes are due...

No one has pointed out how A. Rolle got into Fitzgerald's way on the INT return at the end of the half, preventing him from tackling Harrison around the 10.

True that...Fitz would have easily had him, go into the half only down 3

Harrison was running so slow with his own safety in the way for the first 30 yards, I was so sure the Cards would tackle him. I didnt even think about him possibly scoring til he passed the 50.

Blackhawks continued their Canadian Domination last night with a nice 3-1 win in Edmonton.

I am not used to this "winning on the road" stuff, but I can GET used to it for sure!

Beat them 9-2 last time, outshot them 41-21 last night, would have been nice to have gotten a couple more goals to put the game out of reach early, but a solid win nonetheless

I really hate transaction rumors about my favorite sports teams that are believable enough to have me going for hours but are all bulls*** in the end.

    Figgins to the Sox???

    I concur...

Just don't send flowers in a box. ;)

That was easily the funniest commercial of the whole Super Bowl. I lost it when the flowers said "No one wants to see you naked"

  9. Yeah, that was such a bad trade.....Trading a guy who you have no chance of re-signing in the future to not only obtain a speedy leadoff hitter you were in despeate need of, but to also free up money to sign a catcher, 2B, and SP, who were all key components of your team winning the World Series.

Kenny definitely has made some head scratching trades, but Caballo for SPod should not be on that list.

  10. I hate people who are too lazy to wipe off the snow off their back window. Seriously, it will take you no more than 5 seconds to just dust off! God forbid, you can see out your back window when you drive on the highway, thats what they make them for!!!

This series turned Byun Yung Kim from an untouchable phenom into a complete bust. I remember feeling an odd satisfaction that Mark Grace got a ring

The satisfaction was from Grace winning a ring NOT as a member of the Chicago Cubs.

I remember watching that whole series and it was easily the best series I have ever seen. From the back to back blown games by Kim, to the pitching of Unit and Schilling, to the 9th innning, game 7 comeback against the "greatest postseason reliever ever", it was pretty awesome. I was definitely rooting for the D-Backs, just cause I was sick of the Yankees winning every year, and at that time, I had no idea how big of a d-bag Schilling was...

  12. I hate people that say they would rather watch minor league baseball/college sports because the players are playing for the love of the game, not just for money. Thats all BS, they are playing to try get into the professional leagues and make that money. I am sure any AA pitcher not going anywhere would rather be in the majors making CC money, then playing in the sticks for the "love of the game".

  13. If history is any indication, looks like 2009 is down the drain with Tubby gone...

2007 - Tubby hurts himself in spring training, everyone correctly predicts doom for the season, we finish 72-90

2008 - Tubby stays healthy all season, we win the AL Central

2009 - No Tubby at all, not looking good...

Or if you live south of the Mason-Dixon, they flip the f*** out down there b/c they just don't know what to do.

so true, Vegas got like 3.5 inches earlier in the week and everything shut down, schools, airport...they just couldnt handle it...

  15. QUOTE (HawkDJ @ Dec 11, 2008 -> 09:25 AM)
The Yankees have raised their offer to 5-yr $91m, an equal contract to Carlos Zambrano.

    :o  :stupid

Wow...that is all I can say. Give a pitcher with a history of being injured a 5-year contract for ridiculous money....Carl Pavano part dos???

I like the trade for the Brewers much more than the Yankees. Brewers lower their payroll and get a guy who could be their CF of the future, and can actually play defense, as opposed to Hart and Braun who are butchers out there.

Yankees just spend more money for another older guy who hits homers and doesnt get on base a lot. I guess he can steal bases when he does get on base, but thats not often enough.

  17. Say what you want about playing close to home and getting to bat...when someone offers you $30-40 million more guaranteed than any other team, you just cant say no.

Good for him on getting paid like that and I hope he continues the streak of the Yankees not winning World Series.
