is it possible for the sox to remove that kid with ADD in the green?

QUOTE (ScottPodRulez22 @ Jun 29, 2008 -> 12:06 AM)Anderson read off the lineup.
Ah, well touche. At least he got to do something in the game then. Anyone have/can cap it?

Any one able to get the lineup reading from Swish today? I missed it and heard it was pretty funny.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 28, 2008 -> 05:38 PM)So let's see, Wise hits lefties, Brian Anderson hits righties...therefore, Wise starts against righties and Anderson starts against lefties.
Wise can't field for s***, BA is the best OF on the team. Screw wise
-
man Wise is a beast. Hopefully he can go 0-4 + 3 runs gave up in center.
At least this should end the "Wise is the answer to all our problems" bs. One goddamn homerun and a 3-4 night and he is a god all of a sudden.

Wise is an OUTSTANDING outfielder. Thank god he is starting, maybe he can hit a 3-run homer to make up for the runs he cost us

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 27, 2008 -> 10:16 PM)Dewayne Wise is a 4th outfielder. Let's end this conversation.
that run costing single to center field is why I'll take BA over Wise any day. BA makes that catch.

QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Jun 27, 2008 -> 04:12 PM)maybe Hawk is entering the Johnny Red Kerr phase a bit here.
Red: "You know who Szcerbiak reminds me of as a player?"
Tom: "Who?"
Red: "..." "Ah... I forgot!"
You guys know that was Nick's dad's name right? Alot of the "old timers" who were around when his dad was a Cub call Nick that occasionally.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Jun 25, 2008 -> 01:05 PM)That is a textbook straw man - not a single person on this board, or hopefully in the entire fanbase actually wants that. A "fast guy who can manufacture runs" is ideally a prototypical leadoff hitter who makes good contact, a high average and OBP, and is someone who can get into scoring position often and won't get held up at 3rd on a double like half our hitters seem to do.
But thats my point exactly. People just say "go get him" like there is an abundance of awesome lead-off guys just sitting around somewhere. If there actually were, and they didn't require us trading away half of our starting rotation, I am betting that it would be done already.

QUOTE (soxfn4life @ Jun 25, 2008 -> 09:31 AM)If you tell me what game the soundbite is from i could record it from mlb.tv.
Yeah that's the probelm, I think he said it randomly last year or even in '06. I know they play it on the Score whenever they get an email, maybe I'll try them.
BTW, you can watch old games with mlb.tv?

Does anyone have/know-where-to-find a sound byte of Hawk saying "I lovvvvvvvvvvve E-mail" ?
I have heard it on 670 but have come up empty on trying to find it myself.
Any help?

I love that the golden solution to all our problems is to get "a fast guy who can manufacture runs". A speedster is great and all, but if he hits .230 with an OBP of .299, what the hell is the point? All you do is add a couple extra SB to the stat line and lose any potential HR's.

If you want to stay up there the whole game and avoid the countless brawls, go on the 2nd level and get a table by the window. You have to pay $5 I think to stay there durring the actual game and have to order drinks and stuff. Cheaper than a skybox though
