Well someone else was just "clowning" around yesterday and it wasn't really funny then. Not sure why I'm being singled out. It's bad enough that the team I love will be in last place soon. I just wanted a place to come and vent. I'm sorry, just not in a fun mood lately.

Ok seriously, what's your problem? I'm not the only one who hates that the Cubs have been really good and posts about it in this damn forum. You want me to talk more about liking the Sox? Have you seen the way the Sox have been playing lately? There's nothing positive to say about them right now. Sheesh, why did I bother joining this forum if you all are going to harp on me?

Holy cow, I thought the Indians and Twins were both going to win tonight for sure. Just saw that they both blew their leads (especially surprised about the Indians). The AL Central is giving the NL West a good battle for worst division in baseball. Can we please, please win a few games in a row and at least get back to .500? Or at the very least just play good, solid baseball?

Quentin is 0-4. I didn't expect him to keep up the pace as last year, but damn, this is bad. His avg is falling fast.

This is seriously depressing. And oh look, Cleveland is up 7-2 on the Rays. Just a few more days and we may find ourselves in last place.

Hey, the way I see it Crede helped the Sox last night. Now we're still 2.5 games out instead of 3.5.

So the Cubs beat Jake Peavy and Chris Young while the Cards lose 2 to the Pirates. That's just swell. Soriano is on fire.

My goodness this is freaking aggravating.

Damn, there was our chance to get back in this. We'll be lucky to get 2 baserunners on in the same inning the rest of the game now.

Sigh. So I guess we're going to lose yet another series.

Need to win today to take the series. When was the last time we won a series (the 1-game series against Detroit doesn't count)?

Well the Cardinals have not been playing well lately and I thought I heard the Ryan Ludwick blew a hamstring last night? So who knows what happens to that team. The Reds and Brewers might put up a fight but unfortunately I think the Cubs still have the most talent in that division. It just may not be such a cakewalk like it was last year for them. I've said to friends before that last year was the Cubs' year to take advantage of the weakest NL that I've ever seen. The Cubs were far and away the best team in the league last season. Thank God they choked in the playoffs again. But my fear is that the more they make the playoffs the better the odds of them actually doing well one of these years.

Or that Cleveland's hitters (like Sox hitters often do) go into corpseball mode.

Then they say "stop living in the past". Or I've had some laugh and say "ha, the Sox won the world series and they're still 2nd fiddle to the Cubs." It's very, very annoying which makes the Sox losing/Cubs winning days that much harder to take.

Great. So we actually get 12 hits in a game and we still can't win. If would be so embarrassing if we lose this series (or worse, get swept) after the way every other team has basically walked all over Cleveland.

This team is painful to watch.

Can we get out of the inning with no runs scoring after the first two got on like our offense accomplished last half inning? As long we we're within 2 runs I'm hopeful. If we get down by 4 or more it will feel like a mountain to climb.

Gavin Floyd is really pissing me off now.

He should have been on third, no question. That's the frustrating part of this team. And Konerko's been one of the most consistent hitters in the lineup but his AB was just terrible. The pitch was so far off the plate I thought it was going to be a wild pitch at first. Please keep it close, Gavin. I still feel like the offense will get to Pavano.
