  1. Our run differential will dip into the negatives for the first time this year, after tonight. Was a good run while it lasted
  2. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 07:41 PM) Has Nix played at all this season? Not a single AB
  3. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 07:38 PM) We could see 20 K's and a no hitter against us. not gonna happen
  4. You know Romero will get tattooed in his next outing, that's how it always works when we get shut down. Remember when we got owned by Daniel Cabrera when he was in Baltimore? His start before and after the one against us, he was hit around like a beach ball.
  5. Cooper goes to talk to Gavin. What's he gonna f***ing say? "Yeah, we know you suck on the road. Nothing we can do, I just wanted to stretch my legs."
  6. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 07:22 PM) This offense really is dreadful, on the plus side if it really is this bad all season long that definitely would mean the end of ozzie ball and we might bring in some real hitters. I'm pretty sure Kenny will do something about the offense sooner rather than later
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 07:14 PM) Keeping us in the game..hitters need to have a better game plan against Romero. If someone doesn't look first-pitch curveball this inning I'm turning the game off, no excuse for that s***.
  8. Forget about the years where we crushed Verlander, last year showed that he learned how to use his secondary pitches ahead in counts, IMO he turned into a new pitcher last year Gavin 80+ in 3.2 IP
  9. A great offense still wouldn't be able to do much with Romero tonight, but I know they wouldn't be getting no-hit with 8 strikeouts in 4 innings. This is what's gonna happen to us this year when we face really good pitching. Verlander is going to frustrate the hell out of us this year
  10. This is exactly how Brian Tallet looked against us last year. First pitch curveball over and over and we never figured it out
  11. I've neverseen us so impatient in pitchers counts in my life. 0-2 and 1-2, we're swinging at balls. Smarten up
  12. You can send this one to Cooperstown, guys.
  13. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 06:54 PM) Well, he looks fine to me. The fastball has some pop and he's locating it well and the one slider he threw was nasty to Wells, but the curveball isn't there. He's not locating well, why do you think he's thrown almost 70 pitches in 3 innings?
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 06:54 PM) Time to get one run back. We've done a good job the last two games of responding to the other team. Ricky Romero isn't Brian Tallet or Nick Blackburn
  15. BIGGEST ERA DIFFERENTIAL IN ALL OF BASEBALL FOR A STARTING PITCHER. Ha.
  16. Gavin won't go 5 innings at this rate. 60 pitches 2.2 IP
  17. lol, Alexei is a piece of s***.
  18. I don't like our chances tonight, Gavin will have around 100 pitches around the 5th or 6th, and Romero is doing whatever he wants with our hitters
  19. Romero is playing this game on easy mode. Already 4 K's
  20. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 06:20 PM) We seem to be throwing Wells a ton of hittable fastballs. Unfortunately for us, Wells is hitting anything, fastball, breaking ball, doesn't matter. He's locked in, just have to hit your spots.
  21. Romero is gonna keep our hitters off-balance I think, throwing three different pitches (FB, Change, Cutter) and he has a curve too according to the TOR broadcasters
  22. watching the TOR feed for s***s and giggles, i'll let you know if they say anything interesting
