  1. Starting the season with DeAza would not of meant no Liilbridge it would of meant no Lastings Millege who started the season with the Sox
  2. QUOTE (gosox41 @ Jul 27, 2011 -> 10:18 PM) Not happening. Why would anyone want Rios, even if they can have him for nothing? Bob Get er done Kenny
  3. Congrats Kenny and Jerry. 99% of us are really excited and impressed by what you have accomplished this off season. Don't bother trying to figure out why the same whiners keep finding anything they can to cry about. We can't wait for opening day.
  4. Another nice pickup by Kenny. Ozzie can now move Sale into rotation until Peavy is ready then back to the pen. This is looking like a might strong staff. Sorry Minnesota but your run is over.
  5. Wow what a great rumor. That would be the final piece to the playoff puzzle. What a complete staff we would have. Kenny go for it.
  6. The Sox have a fairly tough schedule the 1st 2 months of the season but by the end of April the Sox will be done with Tampa and by the end of May the Sox will be done traveling to New York and Boston. If the Sox are even close in September the final 21 games are 8 with KC, 7 with Cleveland, 3 with Detroit and 3 with Toronto. If the Sox stay close until the all star break the division is theirs in the 2nd half of the season. 16 & 5 is very doable in those last 21 games which will put them on a roll with alot of momentum going into the playoffs. It should be a fun summer.
  7. Sale is going to be a stud on the mound. 2012 in the bigs is very possible for him.
  8. Cliff Lee-S- Mariners Jul. 5 - 10:54 pm et A source tells Jon Heyman of SI.com reports that there are "interesting discussions" and "possibilities" that Cliff Lee could be sent to the Twins. It's unclear if this means the two sides are currently talking or anything is imminent, but it's interesting nonetheless. The Twins obviously have the prospects to get a deal done right now. It's just a matter of whether the Mariners value those prospects over other team's prospects. Source: Jon Heyman on Twitter Related: Twins It's looking more and more like Cliff Lee to the Twins is in the works. Kenny will fight fire with fire and make a deal for either Prince or Dunn. Worry about 2011 & 2012 next year. Lets make a serious run this year.
  9. Right now the Sox have a major pitching advantage over both the Twins and the Tigers but If the Twins add Lee and they are in the running for him then the Sox also have to make a major deal just to stay even with them. If the Twins add Lee as their ace and the hitting advantage of Morneau and Mauer would again make the Twins the favorites to win the division. Kenny will pull another rabbit out of his hat and make the blockbuster deal for a stud left handed hitter not just a decent lefty hitter.
  10. Every extra seat that is sold in a serious playoff run is more money in the pot to spend on upgrading the team. Who will sell more tickets this year and next year and give the Sox a better chance of making the playoffs Prince or the combo of Kotsay & Jones?
  11. Add to the 6 million they had available for Damon and the money they will safe after next year when the finally rid themselves of Linebrink and extra ticket sales and you can make a decent offer to extend Prince.
  12. If the Sox can pull off the Prince deal they could afford to sign him to an extension. Don't forget the Sox found an extra 6 million for their offer to Johny Damon. The extra seats they sell in a playoff run will also hlp pay the bills.
  13. Why not let Buehrle hit DH. He hit a HR in interleague play last year. Thats 1 more then Vizquel or Pierre will hit this year.
