  1. Getting to that point where adding on against this Yankee team is needed. Doubting a 4-2 score is gonna hold up here.
  2. I love how it looks like Becks is really getting going now.
  3. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Apr 30, 2010 -> 07:09 PM) We're not a good enough team to fall behind the Twins. The sooner we all realize this, this sooner we can accept that this team is a middling offensive ball club that's counting on it's pitching to bail their asses out of the fire. Maybe...and the pitching has yet to do so. With how bad the offense has been and how bad Peavy, Garcia and Floyds numbers are...WE ARE VERY LUCKY. We have to assume all of those entities will be at least a little better.
  4. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 30, 2010 -> 06:57 PM) flame me later if I'm wrong, but the twins will suffer the same ups and downs as the rest of us. Exactly...Like I said. They're on pace for over 100 wins. They won't win over 100 games. They will hit a rough patch. We're lucky they're only 14-7. 6 games vs. the Royals so far...
  5. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Apr 30, 2010 -> 06:43 PM) The Twins are in the process of running and are dangerously close to hiding. Treading water will get us nowhere. I just don't think they will. They aren't an over 100 win team (which is what pace they're on)...85-92 win team still. We obviously need to play better, but we should stay afloat even if we don't get hot right away.
  6. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Apr 30, 2010 -> 06:38 PM) Yeah that sucks. I'd just rather get to .500 than worry about the Twins. By the time we get there, or if we ever get there, the Twins will probably be way ahead of us. Twins won't run and hide. If we play just average baseball for the next month or two we'll be in shouting distance.
  7. Just get somebody up in the pen...might as well put it on a tee. Rediculous.
  8. He needs a short leash tonight. He's behind everybody...gotta get ahead of these hitters. He's 2-0 to everybody.
  9. Great...two on for Rodriguez. 5 career homers vs. Garcia.
  10. QUOTE (Tannerfan @ Apr 30, 2010 -> 06:25 PM) Where's Andruw Jones? back spasms.
  11. The odds that Freddy gives this right back in the bottom half??? We've already scored our game quota this year.
  12. YYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PAULIE PAULIE PAULIE
  13. Gotta get a run here...Don't roll over on the ball Paulie. Just like yesterday...hit er in the air.
  14. Oye...this looks bad. Oh well...ALMOST GAME TIME!!!! NATTY LIGHT #1...officially open!
  15. QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 30, 2010 -> 04:17 PM) Lucy's been Garcia's catcher - hasn't he? Don't think so...AJ started the Twins game that Freddy pitched...I believe.
  16. So...AJ finally has a good game yesterday, and Ozzie benches him in favor of Lucy, vs. a pitcher that AJ is 8-22 against lifetime...hmmmm. Alexei leading off is rediculous. One walk all season. You might as well keep Pierre in the lead off spot if you're going to go that route. You get more extra-basehit potential but less speed....
  17. If Rios were to lead off I just think that the middle of the order would be gutted a bit too much. Potential order with Rios leading off. 1. Rios 2. Becks 3. Jones 4. Paulie 5. Quentin 6. AJ?? 7. Alexei?? 8. Teahan 9. Pierre The mid-bottom of that order isn't going to cut it. You have your 6,7 and 9 hitters all having to hit their way on-base since they NEVER walk. It would be hard to sustain rally's...I mean, I understand it's hard now, but we need Rios in that 5-6-7 range.
