QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jan 22, 2016 -> 07:35 PM) Meaning you don't want to see them in the playoffs in general because you don't like them or because they're a tough matchup against the Hawks? I would love to see Florida in the playoffs. Tallon really has done a great job rebuilding that organization I don't want to play them in the playoffs. Thankfully we likely won't have to.

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jan 22, 2016 -> 07:23 PM) Darling not having a good night. Hawks defense isn't helping him much either, but 2 of those goals he should of definitely had. Agreed. These teams are even with Crawford in goal. Luckily we aren't in the East, because I don't want either Florida team in the playoffs this season.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 22, 2016 -> 03:34 PM) He seemed to be fine with the locker room, it was the front office that he was extremely bad with. Players play hard for him The Rose/Butler rift was as bad if not worse under Thibs. Butler is just so petty.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 22, 2016 -> 03:22 PM) Borrowing from hockey, I think he ends up going the Mike Keenan route of bouncing from team to team every few years because he either burns the players or management out. The funny thing is, Thibs would be an excellent assistant under a guy like Hoiberg. He's a savant at X's and O's. He's terrible at locker room type things.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 22, 2016 -> 03:18 PM) After the way LeBron bullied Blatt, does anyone really see a strong coach like Thibs working out in CLE? I sure don't. It's telling that the Thibodeau rumors have been sparse since his firing in Chicago.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jan 22, 2016 -> 03:08 PM) Ha what a scummy move by them, negotiating behind the HC's back. Anyone thing they're better off with Lue than Blatt? If you do this I think you have to hire someone like Thibs, or at least do it at the end of the year. Which is crazy to me because they have locked themselves into Lue. Really stupid move. They're not a championship team either way with the way the Western Conference juggernauts are playing.

Already calls for Thibodeau. Whatever. Good luck with that 2nd grade offense. Edit: Nevermind, they have signed Lue to a long term deal.

QUOTE (Tony @ Jan 21, 2016 -> 08:51 PM) I don't wan to be a total prick here, but lets not get back into the past Kane rape case again. It took up a large chunk of this thread, and for good reason, but lets leave it in the past, until something legit comes up with any of the recent news. Amen. Holy cow my feed is way behind.

QUOTE (Tony @ Jan 21, 2016 -> 08:30 PM) It should be 4-1, at least. Just a bad performance so far, but again, this was coming at some point. It literally had to. Agreed. Crawford has really done a good job overall. That too many men penalty was rough.

QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Jan 21, 2016 -> 08:06 PM) Ya fabricating evidence was a brilliant move. She went to the police, got a rape kit done. That's what you're supposed to do in that situation. Twitter over a year later is not the proper place to make accusations. Kane has never been found guilty of rape, but his victim was never found guilty of "fabricating evidence", either. Stop with the childish victim blaming.

QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Jan 21, 2016 -> 07:17 PM) I hate that the best player on my favorite hockey team is portrayed to be such a f***ing tool. I also wish that one of 2 things would happen: 1. these stories would stop (if they're lying) or 2. more people would come out (assuming they're not lying) so this jack*** could just go to prison. I have finally accepted that Patrick Kane isn't a good person. He's great at hockey and makes the Blackhawks good, so for now that will have to do. Not ready to call him a sexual predator based on twitter posts. Give the Buffalo accuser a lot of credit. She did all the right things from a procedural standpoint.

QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Jan 21, 2016 -> 12:50 PM) I disagree on Toews' line. Toews and Shaw have been great offensively lately. Toews has 6 points in his last 5 and Shaw has 3 assists in his last 5 Shaw is not a real scoring threat. Ideally, you want some combination of Shaw/Teuvo as your first line winger in Saad's old position.

The Bulls biggest problem: John Paxson and Gar Forman
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 21, 2016 -> 07:03 AM) So the Spurs and Cavs were lucky. The Cavs are lucky the best player in the world (at the time) was from Akron. The crazy thing is, he might not ever win one in Cleveland. The Spurs were terrible at just the right time to draft Tim Duncan, who was the true king of the Kobe era. They're also fortunate Aldridge had no interest in playing anywhere except San Antonio. All the great teams get lucky. The best you can really do with no luck is maybe one championship season or the Bulls.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jan 21, 2016 -> 12:31 AM) How about a little credit to Stan for finding TVR, Panarin and Gustafsson out of the blue? And I'll be the first to admit that I hated Anisimov being the main piece in the Saad deal, but he's proven me wrong. That line is unreal. Turning Saad into Anisimov is Bowman's magnum opus this season. The fact is, the top line is hurting offensively, but the second line is just orders of magnitudes better with Kane having a real center. As far as Panarin goes, maybe GMs will finally get over the KHL threat.

QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Jan 20, 2016 -> 06:05 PM) The White Sox owe me absolutely nothing. It was my decision many years ago to become a White Sox fan. End of story. At the same time, you owe the White Sox nothing. You do them a favor by going to games and watching them on television.

The Bulls biggest problem: John Paxson and Gar Forman
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jan 20, 2016 -> 06:09 PM) Beasley v. Rose was hotly contested. Just like Oden v. Durant was. There was luck, but they still had a call to make. Ok, let's list the non-Rose players. Ben Gordon Luol Deng Kirk Hinrich Joakim Noah Taj Gibson Jimmy Butler Niko Mirotic Pau Gasol You don't just accidentally acquire that much talent. And Thibs refused to hire an offensive assistant and Jimmy Butler was among 3 starters that wanted Thibs gone. Add to that, this is the BEST talent you can get when your team continues to win games. The Bulls have been so competitive for so long, they are rarely in the draft lottery. You don't get the next phenom on your squad without being bad or being lucky in free agency.

According to My NHL Trade Rumors' attendance records, Blackhawks lead the league in attendance (No kidding). Interestingly, the only two Central division teams that have seen a dip in attendance are the Blues and the Preds. Maybe they should start letting Hawks fans in.

The Bulls biggest problem: John Paxson and Gar Forman
QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Jan 20, 2016 -> 05:36 PM) Deng, Noah, and Butler were not all stars before thibs. Only Butler will be after Thibs. Thibs got everything he could out of this team - the job of the coach, but was fired. The Bulls have put a flawed roster out there, and didn't do everything they could to win. Yet they're still here. Again its been 13 years. If you don't want to fire them now, you never will. The bold is completely false. Nothing prevents me from changing my mind. Currently, I'm not sure what the better option is. What shall they do? And don't overvalue Thibodeau. He was a defensive tactician, but his teams played baby offense and he wasn't a locker room manager in the slightest.
