Cubs-Cards NLDS
QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Oct 13, 2015 -> 06:47 PM) Unfortunately, this is probably the first of many Cubs playoff celebrations we'll see in the next five seasons or so. Take the fans out of it, and the Cubs have done it the right way so far.

Cubs-Cards NLDS
QUOTE (Soxfan90 @ Oct 13, 2015 -> 06:46 PM) Yeah, the reality of the situation is the Cubs are damn good. If they get past the Cards I think they will go to the World Series this year. Will they win it, though? We shall see. I'd take the Astros, Royals, or Jays over the Cubs.

QUOTE (Soxfan90 @ Oct 13, 2015 -> 06:45 PM) 3 outs away until the Cards season is over, thank God. Tired of hearing about them. Honestly, this is such a huge positive.

QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 13, 2015 -> 06:43 PM) They faded so hard down the stretch. They should be better next year. This is a case where I think a managerial change is critical

QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Oct 13, 2015 -> 06:41 PM) For our organization, he was a Top 10. They probably thought they knew better than everyone else. He was 3 or 2 in the Detroit organization, but that probably should have been our first clue.

QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Oct 13, 2015 -> 06:38 PM) If I'm Hahn I'm on the phone with St Louis as soon as possible, this is an embarrassing series lost for the Cardinals. I feel ashamed watching St Louis, I couldnt imagine how their management feels. How is their minor league system? They could use Q They always have some prospect with a cliche name who will drive in 80 runs and walk a bunch of times

QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Oct 13, 2015 -> 06:24 PM) Who needs Schwarber when the Sox have Avi Garcia? The Garcia thing is just such a disappointment. Finally get a touted guy and he has no power.

QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Oct 13, 2015 -> 06:22 PM) Eaton? Also we were completely dreadful against LHP on offense this year, Schwarber would only exasperate that problem. I always forget how good he is. The fact that he returned to his average by the end of the season is fantastic. Now Garcia

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 13, 2015 -> 06:16 PM) Tone down the Cubs infatuation It's not the Cubs, it's the fact that he can hit, and only Abreu can hit for the Sox.

QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Oct 13, 2015 -> 06:14 PM) They absolutely would not, that trade is a win for the Cubs. Maybe it's because I like Fulmer and Q a lot, but I don't know that for sure.

Cubs-Cards NLDS
QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Oct 13, 2015 -> 05:48 PM) The Cubs lineup is obviously solid but it has really been incredible how bad the Cardinals pitchers have looked. They are consistently missing their spots by a lot. Now to be fair, a team like the Sox might not take advantage of it because they aren't patient but there have just been an incredible amount of breaking balls and fastballs left in places that are easy for a hitter to hit hard. Good assessment. The Cubs offense is good enough where you have to be reasonably good on the mound, and they devour mistakes.
