Minorities and immigrants make up a larger percentage of the White Sox fanbase. They tend to be more liberal than the Cubs fanbase, which is far more white and conservative.
This is, of course, a generalization, but the whole Cubs thing is so national at this point their fanbase is mostly white people who have been in the US for 2-3 generations.
