  1. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 22, 2012 -> 11:34 PM)
    I may be wrong, but I believe that the Bears can franchise him again in 2013 even if he sits out 2012.

    Call me crazy, but the Bears should tag him this year and in 2013. He'll get all ~$17M, and that should be enough to live his life on. After that, they should let him walk. IIRC, he'll be 29 or 30 at that point. That's too old to give him a $8-9M/year deal. If he doesn't sign the tag for 2013, get the highest draft pick you can for him.

  2. Aaron Portzline, great writer for the Columbus Dispatch and covers the Jackets, reports that the Hawks are interested in Luongo and just have to find a way to work out the obvious money issue.

    Check out his twitter: @Aportzline.

    I don't know how I feel about this. If the Canucks are going to pay most of the money and the Hawks don't have to give much up, I wouldn't be totally against it, but Luongo is like LeBron except LeBron finally figured out his postseason issues. Will Luongo ever do that?

    Sox All-Stars will just hang out in KC after the game for a few days.

    Speaking of that, I think Dunn, Konerko, Peavy, and Sale will all be going to KC.

    When is the last time the Sox had 4 All-Stars? Every year they get 1 in and they're scrapping to get a 2nd in, it seems.

  4. QUOTE (MAX @ Jun 24, 2012 -> 04:16 PM)
    Nice to see him not gushing over him as much. He still is talking up his speed repeatedly, however.

    Yeah, he loves his speed, and that's about it. When Gomez was with the Twins, Hawk would talk him up like he was the second coming of Roberto Clemente. The best part was when he'd talk about him and his stat line would come on the screen: ".233, 3 HR, 14 RBI, .267 OBP." WHAT A GREAT PLAYER.

    Sorry, but if the Sox are planning on those guys being a big part of their franchise going forward, it's likely going to be some ugly years at the Cell.

    Yeah. Stewart just isn't very good and Escobar is nothing more than a breath of fresh air every so often that Hudson stinks up.

    and he was so mad when tha sox retaliated and hit lahair. anyone that knows baseball would totally understand the situation. u cant hit someones best hitter in the head and clearly on purspose and expect for nothing to be done.what an idiot

    The worst part was that his reasoning for that line of thought was that "Hollandsworth thought that way." Oh please, Todd Hollandsworth? :unsure:

    I can't even watch Chicago Tribune Live with Kaplans blatant homerism. Of course the only thing he focuses on is A.J./Thornton forgetting how many outs there were. Nobody even mentions the Cubs plunking our batters, repeatedly over these last couple of series'.

    Kaplan is the biggest boob in Chicago. His bias is unreal. If you look through his tweets, he has about 6 tweets about the Sox since June 1. Disgusting.

  8. I guess it's a good time for my first post.

    I'd just like to say hello. I've been reading the boards for a long time. I've been a Sox fan since birth, and the 49 is because of the current SP who wears it.

    I can't wait to get started.
