  1. Maybe one day Thibs will know how to manage minutes and make adjustments during the game. Probably not . Wishful thinking
  2. Anybody else think Noah and Pau should never be on the floor together at the same time?
  3. Why did Thibs change the starting line up? I thought Snell was doing fine in the starting line up
  4. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 29, 2015 -> 05:33 PM) A friend of mine does it as a hobby and I could ask if he is interested. Does he have a Facebook page or something like? If he is interested could you PM his email and I will email him
  5. QUOTE (shipps @ Jan 29, 2015 -> 05:06 PM) Do you really want a photographer there for that? You are going to have so many moments captured on film for the upcoming months and your future lives that moment should just be for you and your future wife to remember in my opinion. Congrats btw I would be fine with none but she has told me the past couple years she wanted someone there to take pictures of it happening. I don't know why but it is what she wants. Thank you
  6. Well on a serious note: I am planning on proposing to my girlfriend in March in Chicago and I need some help/advice. I have posted a couple times in the past but with no luck so I am hoping this thread is the place for this. I am wanting to get a photographer to be there and take pictures of it happening and some afterwards. I am not wanting a professional photographer who wants to charge $350+ for just an hour at most. I am looking for more of someone who does photography as a hobby or side job who would like to make some money and help me out. Does anyone know anybody that would fit that description? I really don't want to just hand some random person my camera and tell them the situation and trust them getting pictures. I would rather pay someone $50-$100 to be there and get some good pictures. IF you know someone I can contact or any advice on this please send me a PM. I have been searching for a few months now and haven't had much luck. Also, I have been trying to think of something I can do to make it more special and not just going to the place I want to do and proposing. I was thinking of maybe a limo or something to take us around Chicago and see places we haven't been to yet. Any good limo services that are affordable for 2-3 hours? Any other suggestions would be very helpful. I can't fall asleep at night anymore because I am thinking about this so much. I am not good at being creative. PS: I am not from Chicago for those of you that don't know that.
  7. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Jan 28, 2015 -> 11:54 PM) It's def Robin's make or break year IMO. If he doesn't do SABER style things like play the platoon advantage (backed up by splits, not just some gut feeling) then he's going to be second guess both in the media and the FO imo. Hahn doesn't seem like he's expecting anything other than 85-90 wins this year. If Robin doesn't deliver the axe will fall, as it should, again, imo. I feel like Robin is going to have too much to think about in terms of lineups and when to use who and where. I love the versatility this team has but I am not sure if Robin can handle it to be honest.
  8. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 28, 2015 -> 10:25 AM) First off, if you didn't just flat out enjoy this game, well, you aren't a basketball fan. That game was fun, exciting, etc. Had the feeling of a playoff game out there with both teams flying all over the place. The energy levels from both teams were crazy high and it was damn exciting. Rose had about the oddest game you'll ever see. On one hand, he was extremely aggressive offensively and did a nice job getting points in the paint and didn't settle too much for the 3 (until late in the 4th where you could tell his legs were getting tired). Defensively Rose was sick. It is what this team has missed all year, imo. When Rose plays D, he is a well above average PG defender and it is critical cause it makes everything else easier. Passing though, I cringe all the time with Rose. He does so many things that are fundamental no-no's and they lead to cookie turnovers and way too many. However, I think we are seeing more of them cause now he's bringing his game to a quicker level, higher energy, etc, and that means he's getting caught in more positions where he hasn't really gotten enough practice and still has a lot of rust. Noah played huge tonight. Was running the court better than I have seen all year and much more active on the glass. Whole team was active on the glass (yes they gave up that tip in). Some huge shots late and big stones keeping in the game despite Golden State going on a few different runs. Klay is the best 2 in the league. Dude is insane. He hit some extremely difficult and clutch shots in the 4th. Damn that was fun. It was a crazy game. Not use to seeing the Bulls play fast, back and forth basketball like that. It was sort of frustrating they were playing into what the Warriors like to do but the end result is all that matters. I thought there was little chance we would win with Jimmy and 0% chance we would win without him so I was shocked. Team has a long way to go though
  9. Haven't we grabbed enough below average OFs this off-season
  10. Noooooo!! I thought we were done with this guy. I swear if he ends up being a starter I am going to be pissed
  11. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jan 28, 2015 -> 01:51 AM) Man I don't get how the Bulls lose to Heat but beat the Warriors? And without Butler and it was an away game. It makes 0 sense.
  12. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jan 28, 2015 -> 01:10 AM) ST is one of the traditions I will make for my family if I end up buying one when I'm older. I've been to ST in Arizona once and Florida once and they were some of the best vacations I ever had. Wait. You are going to buy a family? I don't think think that is how it works man
  13. QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Jan 28, 2015 -> 12:33 AM) ESPN Stats & Info @ESPNStatsInfo · Derrick Rose: 1st player in NBA history with at least 30 points, at least 10 turnovers, and 1 assist or fewer in a game (via @EliasSports) Making history! Best defense he has played in a very long time though which is encouraging
  14. No idea how we pulled that out. I hate Hinrich right now but happy he finally made a wide open 3 when it mattered! Gutsy win. Still don't know how that happened
  15. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jan 27, 2015 -> 06:25 PM) Really? I live 25 miles from Chicago, and nobody from my high school goes on Facebook. It's all Twitter and Instagram. I guess it is just the way we grew up. Growing up, Facebook was the only the only thing we had so it is bigger and more used for us whereas since you are younger you grew up when Twitter and Instagram were becoming big. Weird what 5-6 year difference can do
  16. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jan 27, 2015 -> 12:52 PM) Agreed, I don't know a single person under the age of 30 who regularly uses Facebook. Edit- Other than myself, I suppose! Wait, where the hell do you live? lol I am in college and pretty much everyone I went to high school with uses high school and people in college still do as well. Not as much as 5 years ago but it is still used a lot to keep in touch and share photos.
  17. QUOTE (raBBit @ Jan 27, 2015 -> 01:04 PM) Alright so I am a server at a restaurant. It's a food and brew that's essentially a better version of Friday's, Chili's, etc. Kind of like the Cheesecake Factory. I have been there for three and a half years now and I've basically seen the operation fall to the wayside. It's a corporate restaurant and we've become one of the worst performers company-wide. Favoritism, inept management, losing goods servers & not replacing them, not holding people accountable, etc - all the usual restaurant bulls***. However, it's five minutes away from my house, the money's good relatively speaking, I like the people that work there and my managers take care of me. I only work like three shifts a week and none of them are with the GM who's the problem so I am really removed from the drama and would prefer it to stay that way. Anyways, everything has gotten very relaxed because of the atmosphere the GM sets. I am sure others here have worked at restaurants and can attest for me when I say the kitchen is almost entirely Mexican. Which is great. These guys are much less emotional than the front of house people and they always get their jobs done despite messing around a bit. So when in back of house everyone is always goofing off, smacking each other on the ass, throwing stuff, calling each other gay and other insults in Spanish. For instance, I am white (shocker) and skinny so my name is "flaco gringo" which translates to "skinny white person derogatory term." Most of the time everyone back there calls each other "puto" and "hoto" which is "gay" and "b****." So there's definitely a culture back there. One of the guys who works in the kitchen has worked there for like 2 years and the first year he was "Dan" and then he mysteriously started going by a traditional Spanish name - I'll say Juan just for privacy. You can read between the lines there. Another kid, who I'll call Mike, is a server and got hired right around when I did but is kind of a bad apple. He has a group of friends but a lot of people hated him. I just kept it cool with him but really wasn't a fan. Juan was one of the people who hates Mike. Mike happened to be on "last chance agreement" for multiple infractions due to his attitude and big mouth. So a couple days ago, Mike calls Juan a "f***ing Mexican" in the back and Juan rats him out to the temporary manager and Mike got fired. So now Mike is super upset, claims he didn't do anything wrong (which he obviously did even considering the culture) and he refuses to go down alone. First, he threatened HR and told them he was going to call EEO on Juan. Now he's trying to band a bunch of people together to call HR and bring down our GM. I would absolutely love it if my GM left because he is really lazy, unnecessarily condescending and sucks at his job. I think it's super cold that he's trying to get Juan deported but I, as well as the rest of the restaurant, could really benefit if they fired the GM. However, the GM has three kids including a baby boy who's two months old and he is building a house. So while I would prefer he got fired I am troubled with the fact that he has a young family. It's really just a pain in the ass but as one of my GM's biggest critics, I am expect to step up and talk to HR but I am really not interested. It's not a big problem but I'd rather not have to deal with this, haha. So where is the relationship?
  18. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jan 27, 2015 -> 09:17 AM) Isn't Nieto a switch hitter? Yes. It will be Brantly or Kottaras simply because they are LH and have experience. Nieto will be in AA starting IMO
  19. QUOTE (rowand's rowdies @ Jan 27, 2015 -> 01:15 PM) If they are really "all in" this season and want to draw some crowds, they can do a few things IMO. It's time to have a concert going on outside the stadium before games, all games. Doesn't need to be a huge band, or any specific genre, just a band or DJ who can play good music and give fans something else to do before a game. The better the bands, the better the draw. There are plenty of musicians and local bands who would love to play outside a White Sox game on game night. Then they can also go around handing out White Sox swag to fans in the tailgate lots. Send some White Sox alumni out there with the swag to give autographs and take pictures. Doesn't need to be Paul Konerko or Frank Thomas, I'd be plenty happy seeing Chris Widger or Hank Perry walking around talking with fans. Make it consistent so people go there expecting to run into White Sox alumni. They can also have ticket reps walking the grounds with White Sox Swag to give away and an IPad to help take orders on special Tailgate only ticket specials. Example - A ticket rep may have a special tailgate lot ticket package for you and 7 friends to go to any weekday game (minus blackout dates), lower level, for $100 total. Crazy deals that have to be bought on spot at that time. Sell some urgency and the good feeling of White Sox baseball during tailgate. Then they can team up with sponsors to make tickets worth something after a game. Get a % off good or services the next day after attending a White Sox game, depending on Runs scored. Example - If the White Sox score 5 runs, and win, that gives you 10% off at (Sponsor) on the date following the game with ticket stub shown. If they score 2% and lose,it's 2% off the following date. Something like that to give the ticket extra value. Just a few of my thoughts. Go Sox. Almost every professional sports teams does this in some capacity. Even colleges.

  21. I was simming through the off-season on OOTP and apparent Sean Doolittle shot himself in the foot cleaning his handgun. lol
  22. Adam Eaton: The Reporter Adam gets Conor to crack a little smile!
  23. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jan 24, 2015 -> 02:45 PM) Lol, I guess that means he never figured out how to use the torrent that he downloaded. No. lol. And my computer was messing up after I downloaded it so I just deleted it and would rather have the real version. Thank you though. I still sent you a message about your rosters. Trying to figure it out
  24. RIP to one of the greats!
  25. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jan 23, 2015 -> 09:28 PM) Holy injuries batman. Somehow we are 30-21 on the season despite injuries to Abreu (4 weeks), Samardzija (7 weeks), Quintana (2 weeks), Eaton (6 weeks), Jennings (14 months), Bonafacio (33 months....uh...ok), Micah Johnson, Noesi, Axelrod, and I also had a 9 game suspension from John Danks for fighting Miggy. lol. After Shark and Q were both injured at the same time, I finally gave in and called up Rodon, who in 85 innings between AA and AAA, had 115 K and a 4 WAR in only 11 starts. He's making his debut right now. Oh, and draft day came around. I had the 12th pick and took Daz Cameron, although he wants 3x his slot money. So I took a bunch of college players and they all signed for underslot, so hopefully I can bring Daz in, even though he's listed as an "extremely hard" sign. About to download the game now. I am pretty sure I played this game like 5 years ago
