To me it was the start of the complete clown show of an organization. Hiring LaRussa was the worst decision this organization made in the last 10-15 years and I think it just put us even more behind. We clearly had the talent to capitalize on and it just all went to s%*#. Hinch would have gotten way more out of that group. Tigers were in a much worse position when he took that job and has helped right that ship.

He isn't a closer, but of course we signed him to be one. He had one pretty good year but in 2024 he had a 4.4 ERA, 2023 a 3.78 ERA. Good seasons in 2018 and 2022
