I really think They're saving their money for next offseason. They will be spending on one of the big pitchers. They are going to need a pitcher and it will cost quite a bit.

The sox pursuit of Manny and Harper this offseason has never had anything to do with their plans for Soxfest, obviously. They were never going to use Soxfest to "announce" anything new. That being said, now they have to address the 800lb gorilla in the room (all the drama that has taken place this week). What is happening with the Manny Machado talks? Who is leaking what? The Sox know the questions are coming - and some fans are pissed (for sure frustrated). So I guess I'm wondering now are the Sox feeling any pressure to get something done by Soxfest? Probably not. But it sure is going to make Soxfest way more interesting this year compared to years past! Maybe Richard Roeper was right about Soxfest this year. You're going to want to be there!

I hope he gets a ton of them too!

No its not trending the sox way because this soap opera is being produced by Boras or this east coast biased journalism that we are so tired of seeing.

I dont ever remember seeing anything like this! I'm 49 and have been through many baseball offseasons and really don't recall an agent calling out the press like this! Am I wrong?

And Pollock gives you all kinds of flexibility. Can play anywhere in the OF. And with a 2 - 3 yr deal it doesn't really block the OF prospects. Yeah, I totally agree.

One of our own sources told us not to panic. That the $$ would be the same with philly. That Alonso and Jay and the prospects would be the difference.

Passan is one of the best national guys out there. I think he's very credible. A little over a year ago, When he worked for Yahoo he wrote an article on why he thought the Whitesox farm system was the deepest in baseball. He had alot of Atlanta fans in an uproar over it.

Where's Jay playing? I agree though, I do love that lineup
