  2. QUOTE (staxx @ Apr 21, 2015 -> 11:32 PM) You need to test him in high leverage situations, debut or not. He was flat out wild tonight, he'll come back fine. I would agree if he was a reliever. Some people are not relievers and for someone he will not be a bullpen pitcher for this team I just don't see why he is not starting whether it is in AAA or the majors he should be starting not coming out of the bullpen.
  3. I think this whole situation is like the Cubs calling up Bryant and then having him not start but come in to pinch hit in the 7th down a run with a man on third and telling him to do a suicide squeeze.
  4. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Apr 21, 2015 -> 11:23 PM) I would have preferred Flowers got thrown out sticking up for him. I was hoping he would get thrown out or Coop
  5. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 21, 2015 -> 11:18 PM) What was Chris Sale's relief experience level at Florida Gulf Coast pre-2010? That's a good question, i am not sure but his 10-15 innings in the minors were all in relief I believe.
  6. I think it is just because it was his major league debut and he had NEVER pitched out of the bullpen in his life. Pitchers have routines. He has only ever known the routine of a starter so to throw him in there you have to have expected a sub par performance, right? If Rodon was a relief pitcher in the minors, or had any experience whatsoever out of the bullpen then I would say that situation was not that bad but he doesn't. Other then the control issues I thought he looked rather good for the whole situation.
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 21, 2015 -> 10:12 PM) What's annoying is Rodon wasn't ready yet for the majors Dumbass comment. Hewas and is more then ready. He is NOT a reliever
  8. I for one love how he is fighting and battling in a situation he has NEVER been in before. This was his first time EVER coming out of the bullpen (at any level) and the team put him in a Fail-Fail situation. He looked like he was over-throwing his fastball with all that adreneline it is understandable. His fastball looked like it has some late life to it and that slider looked wicked. I thought that the players around him looked like they were more supportive and understanding of the situation he was brought in to, but that may just be my optimism. Hopefully this gets all the jitters and butterflies out of the way and he can go back to STARTING very soon. Thought?
  9. God this organization is f***ing awful. I hope this kid is not continually asked to do this bulls***. This kid is big time and ready to be a STARTER. He is NOT a reliever and should never be asked to be one. Yet they ask him to come in and do something that half our bullpen cannot do and get an out and save us from losing yet again (in his major league debut). That is setting him up for failure from the beginning. Wtf why would you do that. Yes I am ranting and it feels good to do so.
  10. Thank god I was reading this board and saw the HR comments and my mlb.tv is so far behind that I was able to skip it
  11. This is a joke, why not double steal, bunt, hit and run something. But the Sox apparently are content with hitting into double plays and striking out all the damn time
  12. QUOTE (Big Hurtin @ Apr 21, 2015 -> 08:43 PM) Pump the brakes on this. Why, if the Sox can throw another lefty at a team that is so bad against lefties then why not do it. It gives the Sox the best chance to win tonight and a much easier 1st major league start for Rodon.
  13. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Apr 21, 2015 -> 08:37 PM) You think Danks is more likely lose his job than Hector? At some in the not so distant future, Rodon will be in the rotation. It should have been tonight with the Indians being so putrid against lefties
  14. It looks like another horrible turnout tonight
  15. 16. They cam through when it counted. We just need the bats to get going in innings 1-8 now. HR Contest is up for tonight's game, get those picks in http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?sh...0&start=180
  17. Wow that was an ending last night! No HR but it's only a matter of time before the bats come ALIVE. Keep those picks coming. 4/21/15 Tribe @ Sox (vs Carasco RHP) Adam Eaton (6 pts): Melky Cabrera (3 pts): Jose Abreu (1 pts): Adam LaRoche (2 pts): Avisail Garcia (3 pts): Alexei Ramirez (4 pts): Condor13 Gillaspie/Bacon (4 pts): Soto/Flowers (3 pts): Micah Johnson/Emilio Bonifacio (6 pts): Bench (8 pts): Noone ( 1,000,000 pts ): hi8is
  18. QUOTE (staxx @ Apr 20, 2015 -> 10:43 PM) alright 4 run bottom 9th! You called it
  19. HELL YEAH!!!! So glad I never turned the game off.
  20. What the f***, Micah could have done a better job then Bacon
  21. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Apr 20, 2015 -> 10:06 PM) How about someone who has actual experience managing. It can be in the minors. Just promoting guys that you happen to own a poster of doesn't make them good managers. Expect better. Not just random childhood heroes. Until KW is GONE this is what we can expect from this organization
