Let’s get the sweep, the Rays are in a funk right now.
I decided on a whim to watch the game last night and that was the funnest I've had watching a Sox game in a long time. I know it won't last but let's enjoy this as long as we can. The back to reality against Minnesota lol

Anyone see that "umps are our neighbors" ad? Lmao that mfkr might live down the street but while that game is happening he better be getting the calls right or else he's going to wear it.

Park sounds so awesome tonight. Loudest open stadium in MLB. It just makes me hate it more that we ended our season in April.
This is what sucks. That stadium has so much potential to be such a loud, fun place to be, if only Jerry would do what it takes to make them a winning team. If they would just win, that park would be full and loud all season long.

Hilarious to look back at these quotes now, as if any fans bought into this BS they were selling.
I can think of a few on this forum that did 😉

I think it's time to cannonball his ass off this team.

Well he used the word rebuild. At least they're admitting it now. So much for Jerry's "needing to contend immediately" bs.

seems like whenever Fangraphs updates their rankings, Sox will assuredly have a top 10 (they are 12th, right below SDP, before factoring in the Cease trade) system by their rankings. Probably top 5 considering all the graduations coming for the teams above the Sox.
Citing Bleacher Report is probably dumb but the farm system seems to be in genuinely OK shape.
Now when those guys move up, can they keep it in shape? The answer: no.

Who cares about an Eloy blast when you got a campfire milkshake smh

I really wanted Paredes to get a hit. I have him on my beat the streak 😞Looks like my streak will end at 7

Man I remember when the Sox signed him, how that was supposed to signify years of competitiveness. Possibly even a dynasty. Ignorant bliss.

Tonight or tomorrow morning would be perfect to dump this guy. While the sports world is talking about the Bears draft, Pedro can exit stage left, and never be heard from again.
When they lose this Twins game, they need to make an announcement that his ass is mowed grass.

Obviously you don't want your favorite team to lose ballgames, but the more this team loses, the closer we get to even Jerry having to admit bigger changes are needed than just firing KW and RH. I hope they keep losing so we see changes sooner than later.

Right, but they need to field a major league roster. They have a bunch of bad players, but don't really have that many no brainer DFA candidates. Its the downside to signing to many shitty veterans. No one is going to lose sleep over DFAing Lopez, or DeJong, or Grossman, or Pillar, etc., etc., but they also don't really have anyone in the upper minors to replace these guys either.
How the duck did we get here?

Getz: Record “frustrating” but rebuilding takes time

Interesting, so far this season the Sox have actually been pretty healthy outside of the 3 guys that have a history of hurting themselves (and, ironically, are the guys the Sox rely the most on to be productive).
