  1. So it doesn't bother you that he was swinging on pitches outside the strike zone?
  2. Whenever a player is in his contract year, he all of a sudden gets better. I'm ok with signing him up, but if so just 1 year at a time and at no more than half what he was making every year.
  3. Abreu swung on 4 straight pitches that were outside the strike zone. We could have had the bases loaded, but Abreu could only think of going for home run glory.
  4. On Gameday it was saying "official scorer ruling pending." Why would the official scorer be making the decision instead of the umpires?
  5. Narvaez seems determined to get his batting average below .100
  6. First Renteria took Covey out for no apparent reason, then he took Avilan after just one pitch and now he's making all sorts of pitcher changes and substitutions just like he's the Mad Hatter of baseball. Baseball is not Wonderland, folks and its time that we stop making excuses about how he's a rookie manager and let him learn from his mistakes. He's shown himself incapable of learning anything about baseball. Fire Renteria now before he becomes an even bigger laughingstock than Terry Bevington.
  7. If Gonzalez stayed in the game he likely would have hit into a triple play.
  8. Why does Renteria seem obsessed with making pitching changes all the time?
  9. Interesting how the fans yelled and screamed about how they were sick and tired of the Bulls and the White Sox going for it every year and demanded that they do rebuilding instead, now they've seen what rebuilding is really like and they can't stand it. The moral is that you had better be careful what you wish for because you might just get it.
  10. Show respect. A coven is a group of witches and warlocks. Its Covey who, at least as far as I'm aware has no magical powers whatsoever.
  11. That's what happens when your bush league manager takes your starting pitcher out for no good reason. The other players see that and just give up.
  12. Why did they take Covey out? Granted, he was pitching at the Cy Young level, but you have to show confidence in your rookies that they can get themselves out of jams.
  13. Except for Engel, all of the Sox batters in the 4th inning took at least 3 pitches before swinging. Shows how with plate discipline you can both score runs and run up the pitch count.
  14. Abreu swung on 2 pitches outside the strike zpne.
  15. Plutko's pitch count is at 28 despite all these stupid Sox batters swinging on the first pitch. Just think how many pitches he would have thrown if he was facing a disciplined team.
  16. What makes you think that it was Yolmer's idea to do that?
