Stone is such a p**** ass b****. Won't even critique Grossman you KNOW if that was Yoan he would have lit into him and blah blah blah play the game hard blah blah blah.

Well Rexy is Stone Pony and Getz’s favorite color.

Vaughn is absolutely clueless.  That's the second called third strike today.  What are you doing. Swing the damn bat.

He did. At the slider two feet off the plate.

I generally ignore his media quotes because there are much bigger issues/concerns with him, but what/who the hell is he talking about here? The second half of that quote is hurting my brain.

so is this on the training staff? At least he didn't fall to the ground this time so maybe its just a grade 2😕

literally no reason to watch this team now

I thought maybe this year I’d be able to conquer my PTSD and stop being terrified every time I see a White Sox player running at medium speed.

But just like this pathetic organization, it’s not going anywhere.

    Same injury as '21.

They were both strains of the hip flexor, but in 2021 it completely ripped off the bone and he was on the ground in excruciating pain.

This isn’t good, but it’s definitely not as severe of a strain. Not sure what that means in terms of recovering time and whatnot though.

Yes, Carlos Rodon's 2021 is truly a relevant example. A hard throwing left hander who had gone through multiple surgeries, was coming off TJS, and where they pitched him in the first half like there were literally zero restrictions on his arm only to have his body wear out in the 2nd half.

That should totally raise your confidence in how they will handle Crochet.

I’m not sure that comparison really makes sense.

It also doesn’t take away from Caulfield’s point that Katz can take credit for essentially reinventing Rodon, turning his career around, and making him not only a successful MLB SP for the first time in his career, but an elite one at that.

But I am honestly also not sure how good Katz is of a pitching coach 🙂

I had high hopes for him after with some early success in his tenure, but then outside of Cease in ‘22 and Santos in ‘23, it’s kind of been a disaster the last two years.

Lol. That’s supposed to be Ice Cube from Friday forcefully asking, “what he say?” But apparently I’m not savvy enough to embed the clip.

    This is Joely Rodriguez erasure.

But also, without saying "signs with," this could imply a trade. I thought we traded Popeye.

I also thought Jose Rodriguez was being traded to the Blue Jays when I first saw the thread title.

Then I couldn’t get rid of the full page ad that popped up while opening the thread and I experienced a few seconds of minor anxiety.

This trade seems way better to me than the Santos one

    Same.

Although I am also good with cashing in on one good year of relief, but not completely sold on the return beyond turning one thing into three (plus bonus pool).

Overall, these trades gave me a little pep in my step, and I’ll admit I am a little excited to see what a new front office can do, even if it’s not the one we wanted.

I thought it was reported back when this all came out that Jimmy Rollins was  the one responsible for going over both Ventura and Hahn straight to Kenny to b**** about Drake La Roche.

Didn’t see Rollins or anyone else implicated in the Athletic article, but perhaps this was merely speculation since he was new in camp.

I think it was Rollins, along with Avila and Frazier.

All three were veterans who were new to the team, and apparently did not enjoy the idea of having a child in the clubhouse all day, everyday.

What a weird year. All of that to finish in 4th place, again.
