And now,to quote the late Harry Caray,

"WHAT ABOUT THE PITCHING"??

does anyon e realize that when sandy goes on the DL and is through for the year and if because of this move we let josh paul go our catchers could be olivo and ??? whoever from the minors???

this ove predicates josh paul making the 25 man roster as insurance for sandy..if that happens ill be ok with it

Paul will be the 26th man. If Alomar goes down then he will be up. The Sox can't really deal him unless they pick up some other minor leaguer thats decent enough to handle the catching duties.

Nope. Watch JM go into april with 3 catchers for tinkering purposes.:puke

sandy is mostly here in a mentoring type of way.. im sure he wont be getting much play time anyhow .. (read the article on the mlb boards even he is aware of it)....this is a good thing if in fact he can teach olivo the things that he knows....sandy has always been one of the better catchers in the al.. knows the teams.. knows the pitching staff here.. and knows the game and how to take control behind the plate... if olivo can learn half of what sandy knows then he will do just fine........as for paul... theres a thing or two he can learn from this as well........in all honesty its not a bad move by the sox .. for a change.....

What are you going to say when Olivo starts the season in AAA and Josh PAul is the back-up to Sandy? ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) Wanna go double or nothing on that case of beer HSC?

olivo is going to start.. mark my words on that one.. he is one of kws buddies... me thinks that it will be paul who either starts in aaa or is gone completely........double or nothing.. sure why not.......
