Tight wild card race in AL is good for sox

Featured Replies

In the NL the sellers are pretty clear but in the AL there are like 10 Teams competing for the playoffs, only the A's are clear sellers.

That is good for the Sox, especially that the rays and royals are still in it and not selling.

Yep, gotta love the 2nd wild card. The only clear sellers at this point are the Sox, A's, and Tigers - the Jays, O's, Rangers and Mariners all seem likely to wait it out, if they sell at all.

I think Giants will sell Melancon for sure.

I think they'll definitely try. But that's a huge contract, he's been crappy, and has had some health issues pop up. They're probably better off holding and trying to rebuild his value.

I think they will only end up selling the guys with (close to) expiring contracts. Then look to add again in free agency.

Brewers are now interested in Quintana. Who saw that before the season started. But they are 4 1/2 up on the cubs and they are going to try and go for it.
