This is really nice development from a clever pick-up, who had been cast-off by the Rays.

It appears that lately he is taking bigger cuts at pitches which with his contact rate is perfectly acceptable development with less than 2 strikes. If he can raise his slugging percentage to higher than his OBP we may have something . That's not to belittle his OB skills just to illustrate how low the Slugging is.
