Cotts and Hankins

Featured Replies

the arizona fall league began yesterday.

Neil Cotts pitched 2 2/3 scoreless innings. Two hits, two Ks and a single walk.

Ryan Hankins, who is learning to catch, singled in his only at bat.

I believe they are the only two Sox prospects who played yesterday.

Rumor is that they are going to teach Neal the cutter. Has anyone else heard this?

That's not rumor, it was widely publicized when he made his four appearances in Chicago.

Thats what they are working on with him. Don't look for him to get a ton of innings. I think the only reason he is there is to work on that pitch as well as hone some of his other secondary pitches.

Hopefully we'll get a report from Neal after a few outings :headbang

Majewski and Wylie are also there, I believe

Not sure whom the Sox picked to replace Jeremy Reed, who is playing for Team USA.

Hopefully the cutter works for Cotts exactly how it worked for Loaiza.
