So apparently there were between 10-40 minutes in Hawaii where everyone literally thought they were minutes from being vaporized before the first "all clear" signals came through. No public comment from major officials happened during that time.

What a morning here in Hawaii! We woke up with the biggest scare in my lifetime! Just total Panic and Uncertainty!
