He will hit 30 homers if he plays 130 games. Those guys serve a purpose, especially on a team that’ll be lucky to win 80 games. Like someone else said, he’s young. Why not give him a shot?

He'll start the regular season being 27 years old. To me, the "he's a young guy, give him a chance" argument expires after you're 25. Sure, there are late bloomers, but as long as Davidson is a high strikeout, low on base percentage, poor defense guy, his value will be next to zero.

In order to survive in this league as a poor defender/DH who can only hit home runs, you need to either get on base a lot or rarely strike out. Davidson does neither.

Hector Santiago really cruising through the Cubs on paper. 3 IP 0H 0BB 3K. Any idea how velcocity and stuff looked?

His 1st outing he hit 93 . Would imagine he probably hit that today but probably more in the 91-92 range. Just guessing.

Delmonico went 3 for 3 with a double .

He'll get his shot again this year I would imagine. Sox are always looking for power. He's got that just needs some other parts of his game to improve especially walk rate. He did also walk today.
