Talks about how Chris Getz has brought in Trackman data such as spin efficiency, vertical drop, and carry for our young pitchers to use and learn from. Features quotes from Jordan Stephens, Spencer Adams, Ryan Burr and Ian Hamilton. One notable quote from a player suggests that our pitchers are competing with each other based on data being given to them by the coaches. Pretty cool article.

Really fantastic article. James' Sox coverage makes the subscription totally worth it.

Is this what's causing most of them to unexpectedly struggle so much? Clarkin, Guerrero, and Adams all struggling mightily there, and the latter two had success at AA last year.

Guerrero is not struggling. Just having terrible luck.

Coming into today he was sporting a 10.81 K/9, 2.39 BB/9, 0.34 HR/9, .420 BABIP, 51.7% LOB%, 27.8% LD%, 2.26 FIP.

This is probably as good of 6 starts as he's ever had in his career, but it seems like just about everything being hit in play is finding a hole and at the worst possible times (high line drive rate and LOB%)

Thanks for that, makes me feel a lot better about Guerrero.
