October 8, 200322 yr Author Although this is going to open me up for MANY beatdown posts, I must admit that the Red Wings are my second-favorite NHL team. The Hawks have always been my favorite, through thick, thin and lately, and they're easily my favorite Chicago sports team ( if only because hockey is EASILY my favorite sport ), but ever since I've been watching hockey my Top Four teams have been: Blackhawks Red Wings Flyers Bruins Just to make things clear, when the Hawks play any of the other Top Four teams, I NEVER root against Chicago.

The difference being the Red Wings are ruining the intergrity of the game by making it impossible for half of the league to compete, just like the Yankees are in baseball. The Wings are yet another example of the need for a hard cap in all pro sports.

Thing is his kids are taking over the Hawks when he dies. Nothing is going to change. From what I've heard/read(and I am by no means 100% confident in this info), Wirtz's sons are supposedly nothing like dollar bill, and are almost embarrassed by the way their dad runs the show.

My guess ( and that's all this is ) is that the kids are playing Good Cop to Billy Buck's Bad Cop, and when he dies they will revert to their evil selves.
