I usually buy from Ticketmaster but I know there are others, can anyone suggest a website where the ancillary fees arent an arm and a leg? I havent been to a game in 10 yrs :(

It depends what game you are going to. If it's a White Sox game, go to stubhub, buy a $6 ticket in the upper deck, it will run you close to $10 with fees, and you'll be able to sit wherever you want.

I usually use seat-geek.

How often do they check you at the games?

Except for Opening Day and the Cubs games, maybe once or twice more a season.

The general rule is if they are expecting more than 25k, there is some sort of check happening.
