What's the ball worth?

Featured Replies

If the Cubs go on to lose tonight, what do you think the "fan interference" ball is worth? I'm thinking there will be some interest in that ball from a collector.

If the cubs lose tonight, I think it would be the biggest copout to blame one play when they had 3 games to do it.

Fans were taking pictures of "The Spot" after game 6 last night.

Not nearly as much as the I-Rod grand slam that wins game 7.

I still don't see how they are all making a big deal out of this. Yes the fan got in his way, but from the angle you can't really tell whether the ball was in the field of play or not.

If it isn't, I'd say almost anyone here would be reaching for the ball not knowing, just based on a reaction. You can't really sit there and watch the ball bounce in front of you and see it take a shot off the concrete and drill you in the face.

While it definately looks like Alou was going to make the catch it is still no gimme and the fact is Prior had another opportunity to get Castillo out, but he walked him. Thats his problem, he got ahead in the count and then ended up walking him. Then Gonzalez gets the dp ball and drops it.

Sorry, blame the fan or not...he doesn't deserve the s*** he's getting. Come on...Death Threats, you got to be kidding me.
