April 10, 20233 yr Glancing at the league leaders in PA/AB, I can’t get a clear idea for whether these scheduled days off, especially for younger players, are normal league wide or if the White Sox are an anomaly. It seems like some teams have 5 players that have played every single game (TOR, CLE, SEA to name a few), whereas the Sox have just 3 (Anderson - who was ejected in one, Andrus, Colas - who PH in a couple of his). The Rays also only have 3 players who have hit in every team game. Can anyone with access to more advanced ways of aggregating stats share whether the Sox are in step with the rest of the league on this, or if they are resting players more than average?
April 15, 20233 yr When you have a roster filled with guys who can't run to first or out of the bullpen without hurting themselves you do strange things. I can't wait until all the humans are replaced by electronic versions. Starting with the umps is nice, but I'd rather have robotic players that don't need rest.
