The only vet I assume you are speaking of is Frank Thomas. While I don't think Ozzie is the best of what JR could have hired as Sox manager, if any player on the Sox team is gonna give Ozzie s*** because of his age and lack of experience, they need to be shipped the f*** out..... regardless of who the player is. Part of being a professional is accepting the hiring decisions within the Organization.

 

Having said that, I think Thomas will be fine with playing with an ex-teammate as manager. Hopefully, Thomas was notified of said hiring before he exercised his option just in case Thomas could have foreseen a problem with taking direction from Guillen.
