November 5, 200322 yr According to Page2 on ESPN.com, the rebuilding of the Yanks includes the signing of Colon to a 5 year $70million deal. I'd rather sign the likes of Ponson, Pavano, Fox, Jiminez, Lightenberg, and Hasegawa personally. I think I am one of the few who has no problem with Bartolo leaving.
November 5, 200322 yr I like that rotation, but how bout a konerko for vasquez deal? Welcome, and no. Minaya was made into KW's and Cashman's b**** last year in the Colon deal, but he's not a dumbass. We'd have to give them a top prospect or two to make that deal happen.

November 5, 200322 yr its starting pitchers, i should have put that somewhere Why is Jeff Nelson on there?
November 5, 200322 yr If the Yanks want to do that, Let'em. No way he is close to that kind of money. It was a joke. It is from Page 2. They were saying what they would do. They would go to a $200 million payroll. It's said they'd sign Tejada, move Jeter to third, sign Sheffield, trade for Schilling, sign Bartolo and some other guys. If anyone takes this as a credible source, I am scared.
November 5, 200322 yr Have the White Sox ever considered signing guys who shut down the White Sox? Wouldn't they win more if they did I know John Thompson did a CG against us in 2003.
November 5, 200322 yr Thomson would be a nice addition who wouldn't cost an arm and a leg. It's possible, but not probable.
November 6, 200322 yr I do not know if it has been mentioned, but I read today that Trevor Hoffman has resigned with the Padres.
