January 13, 200323 yr Well, its the New Year and its time for a new and improved look at Soxnet.net. The site should be easier to read and has been built to hold more features, which will be released as we get closer to the season. Their is a new transactions section as well and an updated roster page. One of my favorite features on the new page is Records/Facts page which is currently up. Another awesome addition is the Yearly Stats page, which will be up later on in the week. Those two pages will fill Sox minds with knowledge about the history of the Pale Hose. Also new for the New Year is the about us page, which tells a short story of Soxnet and includes staff bios. Other improvements are an all around better look, imo, and new archive pages for stories. This is a site built for news and it now should be even easier to find all the recent reports and stories of your favorite team. Some features that will be coming soon are the Minor League Reports. We'll have our first one up again on Friday. Were also going to be releasing an improved archive for them so you can check up on previous reports. Once the season starts, minor league news will be pooring in, typically daily. As always Soxnet will provide everyone with quick SN Reports (Rumors, Trades, Stories, etc) as well as original commentaries and articles. The daily game recaps will be there as well for those who missed the game or parts of it. Advance scouting reports of all the players on the 25 roster will be added to the roster page along the way as well. Hope you all enjoy and if you have any suggestions, don't hesitate to ask us. A new graphic will be up on the main page in the next couple days as Ian puts the final touches on it. Thanks for reading and supporting this site. We couldn't do it without you all. From Everyone at Soxnet and Soxtalk.com
January 13, 200323 yr Thumbs up to all who worked on bringing us the new and improved site. It looks much more professional, and easier to get around. And Matt's new article is great as well, giving hope for the next season.
January 13, 200323 yr Author Mario deserves all the credit on that main page. He's really getting great at html and he did an awesome job on the new page.
January 13, 200323 yr Mario deserves all the credit on that main page. He's really getting great at html and he did an awesome job on the new page. Mario has turned into quite a CEO......... Jason has turned into quite a Message Board Owner........ Me?.......I am god
January 13, 200323 yr I saw no pop-up... but why are the Twins ahead of the Sox in the 0-0 standings? I know that was last year's finish but that is so 2002 and this is a new year.
January 13, 200323 yr lol, you are the third person to tell me that. the standings were from last season, just cleared and started at 0-0.
January 13, 200323 yr yeah, I can do that, not now though, at work. I'll do it when I get home. thanks! (this is a pointless email but I am working to get to 500 posts and get a new status, tired of being a "September call-up." I wanna be a starter!)
January 13, 200323 yr Author 420, I don't know where their is a popup, but if you tell us where it is we'll get rid of it. We don't ever want to have any popups. I can't stand the things and we never want the readers to have to stand for them either.
January 13, 200323 yr I like it....except for one thing(aside from what's already been mentioned(Sox in second slot))....on the Chisport logo, not only is there nothing that gets even close to resembling anything or anyone on the Sox, but it shows Flubby fanny Matt Clement in the middle of it. IS THERE ANY POSSIBLE WAY YOU CAN CHANGE THAT? Atleast could you get something Sox on it?
January 13, 200323 yr lose the pop up!!! I'll bet you have .dll program that gives you opo-ups on every web page when you 1st turn your pc on. some bastard sites sneak that stuff in tehre and i KNOW soxnet is NOT one of them.
January 13, 200323 yr If you are talking about the Chisport Radio banner at the bottom of the main soxnet page, I think that is Kelly Wunsch in the middle of the banner.
January 13, 200323 yr If you are talking about the Chisport Radio banner at the bottom of the main soxnet page, I think that is Kelly Wunsch in the middle of the banner. The one with the goatee? I know that's Matt Clement Atleast 2 things give it away. 1) He's throwing over-handed with his right-hand. We all know that Kelly is a lefty-submarine specialist. 2) See the red bill of his cap, and then the little red 'C' on it? I'm pretty sure that 'C' doesn't stand for White Sox.
January 13, 200323 yr Author Ya, thats Clement all right. One thing for sure is the station is heavily biased as of now towards White sox news.
January 13, 200323 yr Maybe I should pay more attention to the Cubs so I know these things. Naaaaaaaa. They do kind of look alike, other than having two completely different pitching styles I mean. Ok fine, I'm an idiot.
January 13, 200323 yr Maybe I should pay more attention to the Cubs so I know these things. Naaaaaaaa. They do kind of look alike, other than having two completely different pitching styles I mean. Ok fine, I'm an idiot. No you're not.....I get things mixed up that look a like too. Like one time, at this golf course, I saw a weiner that looked like a hot dog. I bought it and took a bite out of it and realized it was a Polish sausage. It was still good, but it wasn't like a hot dog. I really don't know what the point of that story was, but I think you get the picture that just because you get something as stupid as that mixed up doesn't mean you're an idiot. To make this post cooler.... CUBS SUCK!!!
January 14, 200323 yr i like the improvements, especially here in the message boards. i also like a little color change on the main page. looks good jason.
January 14, 200323 yr Yeah, that's Matt not Kelly. I made a bigger graphic for ChiSport Radio. The space Mario has isn't as big as the graphic, so I just cut apart of it off. I'll be working on some new graphics.
