Kansas makes early statement

Beats Michigan St 81-74 in Lawrence. The Spartans also found out their freshman PG Cotton has a stress facture in his foot and will miss awhile.

The JuCo transfer they had a PG for a little bit may be our only hope at pg. I missed most the game, but I am glad they atleast mounted a comeback. Lawerence is a tough place to play, I hope they learn from this.

I warned everyone about the Jayhawks. Miles, Simien, Langford, Giddens, Lee and Graves. This team will be in the final four again.

Everyone knew they'd be tough, not this tough, but tough nontheless. I must say I was impressed. It's only Novemeber, look at Alabama last season (a great start followed by a few months of sucking).

Expect an early to midseason lull, as the team struggles with figuring out the differences between Self and Williams.

That is one of the most retarted things I have ever read. KU has Self figured out it is called practice. They would Lull at the beginning getting used to the system.

KU #1 in the nation.

KU will probably be the #1 in the next poll w/ UConn falling to the surprise Georgia

Tech in the NIT and Duke losing to Purdue in the Alaskan Shootout...

Oh yeah, years of practices and habits are wiped out in 6 weeks. No wait, that would be the most retarded thing I have ever heard of...

I'm jazzed to seem the play in College Station.

Footnote on Kansas

Kansas will have to take on the responsibility of No. 1 or No. 2 without starting guard Michael Lee, who is possibly out two months with a broken collarbone. Lee's injury means Self could start two freshmen, as J.R. Giddens would join David Padgett in the starting lineup.

they'll be in the Final Four again if they can get a player or two to become a legit 3-pt threat, cuz Langford and Miles are not that.

Also, with UCONN ( ), Duke, Arizona, MSU, and Syracuse all losing, and Mizzou barely winning, the top 5 will probably be something like:

1)Kansas

2)Mizzou

3)Florida

4)UCONN

5)Duke

Luckily Kansas has three option with this

1. Jeff Hawkins is a fine shooter and should fill in nicely off the bench.

2. jR Giddens can shoot from anywhere on the court.

3. Jeremy Case shot 65% from 3 pt land in high school.

KU will be just fine.

What were you supposed experts saying about outside shooting.

I told you one of our options would fill in. Jeff Hawkins, just another weapon for the #1 team in the nation.

I would hope so against (1-2) TCU...
