December 9, 200322 yr That's ashamed i really enjoyed his music. Oh wait.... you mean the guy with the big ears and the bow tie.... I don't think he could play music.
December 9, 200322 yr Paul Simon was a good man. Honest and decent. (Even if he was a Dem.) I was lucky enought to meet him on two occassions and chat with him for a few minutes. Even on issues we disagreed, I was very impressed on how well thought out his opinion was. I remember when a small controversy errupted aorund him and even the republicans where saying there was no way Simon made a mistake or did anything unethical. That speaks volumes to his integrity. I also liked his tradition on election days. He would go plant a tree so that no matter what happened that day, something good would come out of it.

December 10, 200322 yr Paul Simon was one of the great people in American politics the last 50 years and Illinois was honored to have him as a Senator and our nation was blessed thereby. Rest eternal grant Paul O Lord and let light perpetual shine upon him.

December 10, 200322 yr Paul was always a local favorite when I grew up. I remember playing in a jazz band at one of his benefits in junior high. He really liked to yuk it up with the crowd but seemed like a very personable guy. RIP
