I thought Mariucci also wanted out of SF? Who knows. Who cares. Too bad we don't have a professional football team that axes a head coach after losing in the playoffs! DOH!

i dont think mooch is gonna have a head coachig job this year, yet take a job of any kind in the nfl. Maybe the year after a good deal will open up for him that he will take.

If the 49s had fired him sooner, he might have taken the Michigan State job, where he'd be with his best friend from high school days, Tom Izzo. But the job was already filled by Louisville's coach.
