December 10, 200322 yr ESPN is reporting the Houston and Pettite are close to an agreement on a contract. 3 yrs, $10 mil per season... If we were offering Colon 3 yrs @ $12mil.. why not offer Pettite the same. A rotation of #1. Buehrle #2. Pettite #3. Loaiza #4. Garland #5. Schoenweis This would be a nice rotation... KW please pick up a red courtesy phone!
December 10, 200322 yr There was a ton of reasons for wanting to go to Texas. Andy's in-laws are from here and his wife and he wanted to be near family. He took less to be in Tex. I can fully understand him wanting to live in Texas. I wasn't born here but I got here as fast as I could.
December 10, 200322 yr espn1000 said about an hour ago that the deal was finalized just pending the results from his physical. That is not good news for the cubs an awsome pitcher to their division rival YES!!!

The Braves tried to sneak in, but don't think they got too far.
