December 11, 200322 yr If we trade Maggs, I hope I have the balls to finallly give up on the Sox. It'd be a lifelong habit to break, but I really don't want to follow a team that trades aggs for anybody, much less those 2 guys. If he gets traded I hope it's to the Cubs and maybe I'll switch over. Pardon my being a dick, but this offseason is mighty frustrating so far.
December 11, 200322 yr Oops i really didn't mean to put f**gs. I should have hit spellcheck. Forgive me maggs. I didn't mean f**gs.

December 11, 200322 yr nick johnson gets hurt every seven at bats. Those are nagging injuries that don't pose ignificant long term threat. No herniated disks, no chronic hip, no pinched nerve in the shoulder/neck, etc. Johnson is a young John Olered sans GG defense. Not free agent until 2007. Sox should only be so lucky as to get a 900 OPS player (who hasn't entered his prime yet) in exchange for a 925 OPS player who will leave at the seasons' end AND save 13.7 Million in the process, which would allow them to get a true ace for the playoffs. UNfortunately, Yankees dealth NJ, so it's all moot anyway.
December 11, 200322 yr As much as I'd like to get Nick Johnson (overhyped or not can be argued, but he fits our need for a solid LH hitter), I cannot see the 'Spos taking on that much salary unless they have a deal in place which would either move one of these guys or some other form of salary relief.
