December 13, 200322 yr Thats a very good move by the Dodgers. I am a big Juan Encarnacion fan. This morning I was telling my dad that the Dodgers should pick him up. Juan was gonna get non-tendered so the Dodgers just assured themselves of getting him and I'm guessing they didn't give up anything much.

I'm guessing the prospect will depend on weather or not LA signs him. I think if they can't get a deal done LA will still non tender him and only give up a low rated minor leaguer.
