I've been lookin at this for awhile...

The Wayback Machine allows people to visit archived versions of stored websites.

 

 

1:Type a URL.

2:Select a date.

3:Begin surfing on an archived version of the website.

 

For now, going "way back" means back to 1996. Archivists collect data every two months, so users will be able to find what a website looked like during a 60-day period, not necessarily on a particular date.
