December 18, 200322 yr Sorry if this was already posted, but i didn't see it anywhere, but rotoworld is reporting that the pitching prospect likely to be included in the Magglio to Boston trade would be Cotts
December 18, 200322 yr Actually in an article someone just posted out of Boston paper, it said the samething.
December 18, 200322 yr Sorry if this was already posted, but i didn't see it anywhere, but rotoworld is reporting that the pitching prospect likely to be included in the Magglio to Boston trade would be Cotts Yes, he would go to Boston for Williamson, and then be immediately turned over to the Rangers as part of the A-Rod package. This is according to the story link on the 'Commish to get involved?' thread.
December 18, 200322 yr I thought someone posted something about Wright being included on this trade??? Maybe that was at the other site...been reading so many guesses at this trade, my head is spinning!
December 18, 200322 yr I thought someone posted something about Wright being included on this trade??? Maybe that was at the other site...been reading so many guesses at this trade, my head is spinning! Rumors at first were either Wright or Rauch, now they have come to Neil... Don't worry it is a pain in the ass to keep up
December 18, 200322 yr Rumors at first were either Wright or Rauch, now they have come to Neil... Don't worry it is a pain in the ass to keep up And it matters not if SuperBud can't broker an agreement by 5pm or take up a challenge on the matter.
December 18, 200322 yr So now the deal is Magglio and Cotts for Nomar and Williamson? If KW does this deal he is officially a moron.
December 18, 200322 yr So now the deal is Magglio and Cotts for Nomar and Williamson? If KW does this deal he is officially a moron. Addition by subtraction? This is f***in BS why is every GM in the league able to convince KW to always give up our top prospect in a trade?? :fyou
December 18, 200322 yr Damn why do we end up giving up more. I do not like this idea of giving up Cotts. We are losing Maggs already and Nomar doesnt want to be here in Chicago so why spend too much to get him. I heard on ESPN Nomar wants a deal around 15-20 mil/year and Im pretty sure we are not paying that kind of money.
December 18, 200322 yr I wouldn't think that Cotts would be in this deal, but then again you never know. Iread the same thing as others and that was Dan Wright and Maggs and then Wright goes to texas. I just hope that if this cluster comes to fruition that the Sox are not the patsies used to make it happen. You just know we will be the losers again.
December 18, 200322 yr Something about Dan Wright strikes me that he will fit right in as a Texas Ranger. What with his patented spike ball, 4 pitch walks, and 2-3 HBP per game I think he would be the ace of the staff.
December 18, 200322 yr I heard on ESPN Nomar wants a deal around 15-20 mil/year and Im pretty sure we are not paying that kind of money. Who will give Nomar that much? Salaries seem to be lowering, not rising...
December 18, 200322 yr We discussed this very thing and Nomar's merits as a player in thread titled "You Know What?" last night. Look it up. Intra-spamming IS fun.
December 18, 200322 yr Out of curiosity, I wonder if Neal or Bull is around to give some reflections on what it is like the be a player both being mentioned in trades, and traded for the first time?
December 18, 200322 yr Just keep Magglio and deal him to the Dodgers. That's what I really want to do...I really like that deal a whole lot more.
