Gene Honda Civic
this was an interesting quote from the article... It was a surprise when the Phillies made the arbitration offer Dec. 7, but general manager Ed Wade said the team was willing to take on Millwood's salary for one year, even though it would put them "significantly over budget." I don't think we'll hear that quote from a GM around here anytime soon.
BrandoFan
Millwood, who made $9.9 million in his first season with the Phillies, had been seeking a five-year contract worth about $15 million per season He really said that? Holy f***ing s***, I thought it was an urban legend. It must be awful difficult dragging around balls that size.
whitesoxin'
Millwood, who made $9.9 million in his first season with the Phillies, had been seeking a five-year contract worth about $15 million per season LOL! Millwood is a jackass. That is way too much money to pay him. He ian't even that great, he only threw one no hitter, which is a great feat but not worthy of 15 million.
