exactly baggs... but its scarry to think that mark will end up once again below a relief man and just slightly above a subpar starter............sad.... actually pathetic is more like it........

Not really...I added numbers I figured they would make this year....I used Koch's arbtration number($5.9 mill), $1 mill for Gordon, $750,000 for Rios and $400,000 for Buehrle....so if the abitrator takes the Sox' arbitration number for Koch($4.25 mill), Gordon makes $750,000, Rios makes $500,000 and Buehrle makes $320,000 or so, that would bring us down to about $5.75 mill or so...I'd expect our budget cuts(if you want to call it that)to fall somewhere in between those two numbers.

 

Maybe JR is hoping this season is successful before he opens the checkbook...taking into consideration how much the All-Star game will bring in along with the fact that more people will show up with a better product on the field...and then maybe our salary 'balloons' to $65 million!

 

Regarding the Carlos debate....I'd agree, if we had a decent backup plan. As of right now, there is no plan B for LF if Carlos were to be traded.
