January 17, 200422 yr Tim K. (can't spell his name) said that both the Red Sox and Rangers would like to get the deal done because of the battered relations with their respective teams. Don't you guys feel bad for players making $15 million per year. Just another thought that it still be not be over.
January 17, 200422 yr That was all part of the rumored trade that our friend Otis posted on WSI. Speculation by Boston fans was that the Red Sox want to make that trade with the Sox so they could revisit the ARod trade. Not sure to what level all of that is true, but it sounds like there was at least a little smoke which led up to the rumors. Otis did say that the proposed deal between the two Sox is dead at least for now. The only way it could be revisited is if the Sox move Koch or Konerko to clear payroll room for Damon. He said the REd Sox balked at giving up Nixon.
