Found this in a Gammons article. Just zap it if someone has posted this before:

1. Chicago led the division in run differential, fewest runs allowed, most homers, fewest strikeouts and most walks by their hitters, best starters' ERA and most pitchers' strikeouts and did not finish first.

Aftre reading that, doesn't 2003's season somehow get even more frustrating? And it's been over for 4 months now.

This was stated in a different post like a day or two ago. Just lettin ya know.

Makes you wonder how that happens? Could it have been the managerial decisions?

Ah, OK, I'm not around here much on weekends. If a mod wants to dump this as redundant, then by all means, delete it.

While we didn't know these exact stats, we all knew we were by far the best team in that division last year. We should have won it by 20 games, but we can't blame it all on JM. Frank was a problem last year too, paulie's struggles, our lack of a 5th starter. Everyone contributed to our suckness.

There was talent and enough production to win. Intensity and leadership there was not. I focus on the leader.

A combination of that, plus the fact the Twins walked the fewest hitters, committed the fewest errors, allowed the fewest unearned runs and had the best on-base percentage in the division.

that just makes me sick. we had so much potential last year and we went no where.

Dammit, I wanted to say it this time!!! :finger :D
