Chicago led the division in run differential, fewest runs allowed, most homers, fewest strikeouts and most walks by their hitters, best starters' ERA and most pitchers' strikeouts and did not finish first. Aftre reading that, doesn't 2003's season somehow get even more frustrating? And it's been over for 4 months now.

February 23, 200422 yr While we didn't know these exact stats, we all knew we were by far the best team in that division last year. We should have won it by 20 games, but we can't blame it all on JM. Frank was a problem last year too, paulie's struggles, our lack of a 5th starter. Everyone contributed to our suckness.

Intensity and leadership there was not. I focus on the leader.
