February 25, 200422 yr i hit orbitz and travelocity are there any other places to look for great prices on tickets. Btw i decided to go home for my spring break instead of go to spring training.
February 25, 200422 yr I have learned once you find a cheap fare, go directly to the airline's site that had the lowest fare, and usually you will find it $10 cheaper, as they aren't collecting a fee, like the travel site would be.

February 25, 200422 yr Try Priceline.com. You will not get to pick your exact airline or flight times, but you will save money. To help you in your bidding, there is another site that is basically a bidding guide for priceline. www.biddingfortravel.com. It lists out bids that people have won on priceline, so you won't have to overbid to get your flights/hotel rooms. You can't actually book anything thru this site, but it does save you alot of money. My sister-in-law got a hotel on Kannapali beach in Maui for $140 a night. The regular rate was $269 a night.
February 25, 200422 yr Always check southwest dot com ... They are always running specials. I second that. That is where I found ST tix, for a lot cheaper than any other site.
February 25, 200422 yr One more vote for Southwest. They were the one airline smart enough to realize that they could do their own direct Internet marketing and not have to go through an online broker. As such, Southwests tix don't show up on Expedia and tthe others so it's always good to check them out separately at the same time as you are searching the other airlines. The downside of Southwest's online sales is that you don't get a specific seat, you just get a boarding card and it's a free-for-all to get a seat. IIf you're traveling as a party of just one or two, it's no problem.
February 26, 200422 yr We just got a new discount airline down here. So we hav Qantas vs Virgin Blue, and they are offering $29 flights one - way to most places in Australia, say from Melbourne to Brisbane etc.
